'Madeleine McCann police apply for another cash boost as £13m already spent.'

Peter Bleksley, a former Met detective, said: “I understand the frustrations of families that have missing children who do not have the luxury of such ongoing funding.” (More like they never had any funding.)

'Have we found the 'animal origin' of Covid?'

"We have to get beyond the politics and back to the pure science," said Prof Holmes. He added: "Humans get viruses from wildlife - it's been true throughout our entire evolutionary history. The best thing we can do is separate ourselves from this wildlife and have better surveillance. "Because this will happen again." (Nature is bad.)

'Miami Open: Defending champion Iga Swiatek pulls out with injury.'

The Pole confirmed that she will take a break, meaning she is also set to miss the upcoming Billie Jean King Cup in April. She said: “You know that in and after Doha I was struggling with a strong infection. I was allowed to play, but a strong episode of tough cough led to a rib injury."

“I’m grateful this is the first health issue in a long time and I was able to compete in perfect shape for so long, but that’s sports, it happens sometimes, without our control."

  4. The 'Coronavirus' link has now been removed from the BBC News home page. And no, it has not been demoted and now located under 'More'. The 'Brexit' link is gone as well. The image I have copied and pasted below isn't exactly recent, but both of the links I have referred to were there a few days ago. The updated list of links is below the image.

  5. Good. Every child should have the right to know both a mother and a father. It can't possibly not be the best way to raise a child. I fully support the notion of any two human beings being able to enter in to a civil partnership. Personally, I don't support gay marriage, in a christian church, but I do get confused by what I see as pointless arguments. Anyone for it, not just gay folks themselves, can go and form a new church, can't they. End of.

'Italy leaves children of same-sex parents in limbo.'

Riccardo Magi, an opposition MP in favour of the Europe-wide certificate, complained: "The world goes one way, the [Italian] government goes the other." (Maybe Italy is now going the right way again?)

  6. When excess deaths become the norm, then they will begin to skew the figures, which are based on the previous 5 years. Come next year, when I look at the figures from spring 2022 to spring 2024, then I am also going to compare them to 2019. Otherwise, unless there is an even greater surge in the number of unfortunate souls perishing, then there won't be any excess deaths for the MSM to report on.

'Deprivation key in excess pandemic death rates, says Barnsley Council.'

'The town saw a 19.4% increase in the number of excess deaths between March 2020 to June 2022.'

So Gary Glitter is on the front page today as he is back in jail. It says that he was browsing the DarkWeb on his mobile phone while on bail. The real message being that not only they know what you browse but also your visit to the DarkWeb.

He was probably nudged and then snitched on, by someone at the hostel, who in turn was probably nudged and paid off by a journalist.

Medical emergency at the Newcastle v Wolves game.

It seems that staff at the BBC have been advised to not even report on such incidents any more. I found a mention, on The Guardian's live commentary match feed, but that's about it. And how many more incidents are we completely unaware of? Out of sight, out of mind.

'67 min I think there’s a medical emergency in the crowd but the match is continuing. A couple of Newcastle corners come to nothing.'

Joke. Something else dreamed up by the FBI/CIA. They never stop.

I don't know. Why wouldn't terrorists go and have a good chinwag, about all and sundry, online? I am just surprised to learn that they didn't care to also leave some passport JPEGs, on their public Instagram accounts.

'Harwell science campus chosen for new Moderna vaccine base.'

'It said the site would "provide the UK public with access to mRNA vaccines for a wide range of respiratory diseases".

Under the agreement, the UK has made a commitment to buy Moderna's vaccines for the next decade.'

'Health and Social Care Secretary Steve Barclay said: "Moderna's new Innovation and Technology Centre means NHS patients will have access to cutting-edge mRNA vaccines to fight against future variants of Covid, as well as other respiratory viruses, while also creating hundreds of jobs.'

'Covid booster jab to be offered this spring.'

'Dr Mary Ramsay, head of immunisation at the UK Health Security Agency, said Covid-19 was still circulating widely and there had been recent increases in older people being admitted to hospital.'

'People at higher risk of severe Covid-19 are also expected to be offered a booster vaccine dose in autumn 2023 in preparation for the winter.'
