Interestingly, not only did a majority of Les Republicans, National Rally and Reconquête voters all take a hardline view on immigration, but also supporters from Macron’s party Renaissance did as well. All of the respondents were highly critical of Macron’s handling of the issue of immigration, with the exception of voters who approve of Macron.

Betcha the numbers will change after the latest shenanigans. Cops calling them "vermin " openly. I wonder if the elites have pushed their foot soldiers a little bit too far this time.

So much for gratitude after the decades of whoring in aid of the elites' twisted agenda....

I remember watching her first video 'Like a Virgin' all those years ago and the blokes I was with cast some serious aspersions about that. She was dressing like a ten-bob brass back then.

  3. This video is in French but if you fiddle around with the settings, it will auto-generate English subtitles. The speaker,  Michel Chevalet has based his conclusions on the  US Navy's recording of the implosion, which he obtained from the EarthScope Consortium. Apparently, they were aware that he sub was breaking up and that the two hulls managed to last for 25 minutes intact until the ultimate implosion. The carbon fibre hull developed a crack letting pressure onto the inner steel hull that compressed the pressure in the cabin before it imploded. Horrible way to go.

Who calls them the "mockingbird media" I haven't heard that expression before.

I doubt your view that them selling newspapers and generating revenue from advertising is of little value to them, without it they would be out of business.

It isn't of "little value" or wouldn't be to a truly independent competitive media. Trouble is the media is now held in the hands of a few mega-corporations who use it as a tool for ramming the agenda of the elite down our throats. If you want to see it in commercial terms, the media has been a loss leader for them. As for mockingbird media, research Operation Mockingbird, and the planting of intelligence assets in the media. I'm sure the UK does the same.

The media are just doing their normal thing: over dramatising everything as usual, generating clicks on their websites, selling newspapers and influencing viewing figures on the television!  The "distractions" generate them revenue.

They're not called the 'mockingbird media' for nothing. The things you mention are a mere bagatelle.

  6. When I lived in London all those years ago, I used to buy what I needed from the local street markets. I don't know if they still exist but I'd rather buy my fruit and veg from the local market that any supermarket. However, I digress. Remember when they introduced loyalty cards? They were the thin end of the wedge and as soon as they got the public used to those, it only took a small step to where we a re now.

In my part of the world, they are asking whether I want to link my phone to my purchases. If I get the app, I get great deals on whatever they are pushing that week. So far I haven't bit.

Trump seemed to hint at exposing all the stuff to do with Pizzagate when he was running for office, or was just elected, but of course nothing much happened. A nothingburger at Pizzagate.

So much for draining the swamp.

The P brothers were also mentioned in the McCann case, weren't they, due to the likeness of their photos with the descriptions of men around the place in Portugal where it happened.

rump said a lot of things. He promised RFK Jr. a place in his cabinet in charge of vaccines, but that soon got dropped. Now he's making a comeback for 2024 and - if he's not on trial by then - he might win. Trust him at your peril though but I'd rather Trump than any woke liberal lackey.

Strange. I can’t stand jazz, can’t stand American cop programmes and can’t stand the way Americans think places like LA are beautiful. But I really like the Bosch books and programme

Early Law & Order was excellent and very well researched and season 1 of Murder One. But yes, there's a lot of garbage out there. LA is a cesspool and was in the 80s when I first went there. San Francisco was much nicer but now that's going down the tubes.

Probably not a good idea as I was an ancient Greek scholar back in the day - not so much now. And I think that reserving peace for those with good intentions is more likely - I mean - look at the viciousness of G-d in Isaiah. I can't see that entity going all Fotherington-Thomas (Molesworth again) on the world. I was just making the point that it's vey difficult to assess "correctness" but most of the new versions of things religious are pretty detestable (although I'm not a Christian, I did confirmation classes way back when with an exorcist!, and. of course, we did RE at school - compulsory even for those from other religions).

Many (if not all) modern translations seem to try and eradicate Christ's deity. Anyway, let me dust off Dean Burgon's work on it and see what he has to say.

Even the Authorised version is "wrong". If you look at the Greek (or Aramaic or Hebrew) in many places you can see that the translator needed slapped wrists. The most famous one, of course, is "peace on earth; goodwill toward Men", which it doesn't say. The Greek version "as any fule kno" (if you didn't go to an English posh school, you might not know of Nigel Molesworth, but you can look him up - essential to understanding the mindset of many modern politicians) refers to "men of goodwill" - not the same thing at all.

If you're reading the critical text - as I assume Mr. Molesworth was - then you might as well translate it to "men of goodwill". The received text says otherwise.  If you want a serious discussion on this, we can open a thread but I'm no Greek scholar I warn you.

On the news this morning I heard that the inquiry is hearing about the effects on children. When I did a little search I saw that someone at Save the Children said that no one under 18 had been asked how the lockdown had effected them.

  12. The Guardian's staff were wetting themselves in anticipation of Putin falling. According to them, it was only a matter of time before Moscow fell and Russia plunged into a bloodbath, thus letting their favourite Ukrainian despot expand his territory. As for COBRA. That's an apt name for a bunch of snakes.

Sorry for the wrong assumption. Some folks today have never heard of it.
