I agree so much! People don't seem to know how to just research something on the internet anymore. They rely on their apps or social media for all information?! Crazy!

I miss old-time blogging. There used to be lots of fun blogging platforms. I don't do social media. I find that I am ostracized in most work settings maybe since they can't find me on social media. Idk. Several years ago when my daughter was in high school she told me that if you don't have social media, you basically don't exist. That's literally how they look at it!

YES!!! It's the craziest thing I've ever seen. And we're supposed to believe it. What's really bothering me now is that Trump and Vance seem to be in on this thing. Whatever it is. SO many people (including me) barely knew who Charlie Kirk was before all this happened. It's so obvious there's some kind of agenda behind it. If a young man actually did die, it's very sad, but still nothing about it seems normal at all - as far as you would think an assassination would be handled. But yeah, I really question why Charlie's parents and family seem to be such a mystery. Also, all the pictures with the kids faces not showing. Just so much weird about it. The memorial thing was sitting so wrong with me, I almost felt sick to my stomach.

Here in America watching all this unfold. SO much doesn't make sense. I watched a video of people casually hanging around the supposed "crime scene" - all within 5 minutes of the shooting. That was when the strange man was "taking the sd card out of the camera" that had been located right behind Kirk. Absolutely nothing taped off, no one seeming to be in fear. Then watching Mrs. crying over his casket! That was shocking. But to me, it just screamed - SEE, LOOK, here he is!! In the casket. It was awful. And does she even seem like someone who just went through this? Not in the least. But what do I know? I certainly don't want to come across as insensitive. But I can't help the feeling deep inside that there is a huge plan unfolding here - that seems to have everything to do with Erika Kirk. Where are Charlie's parents? He was only 31. The FBI story has all but been proven to be false.

I have felt the same. People really wrapped up in their own little worlds....and don't interact anymore like they used to.

Covid or the Covid vaccine? If you're talking about the vaccine, I think I agree! I've seen huge personality shifts in people who have taken it. As far as the internet, it seems that most social media platforms are full of bots or fake (AI) profiles - so who even knows who is real or not anymore? I would hope with a forum like this, we could trust we are all humans. But yes, people and everything has changed. It's sad. I'm just glad some of us have noticed!

David's book Phantom Self pretty much blew my mind. I know exactly one person in real life who I can talk to about it. That's why I'm here, I guess. :-)

I don't necessarily mean "chosen" in a religious sense. Information like that is fairly easy to find online. I'm talking more about people who go through life mostly alone, and are constantly seeming to be put to the "test". I hope that makes sense. It's just this feeling of not necessarily "fitting in" anywhere, never really finding your "people", etc. Also being put through what seems to be constant emotional turmoil brought on by the way others treat you. Why is it some people have these large friend groups and in general are just more accepted? Then there are others who just don't really connect with other people much at all. When one of the last people you thought you could trust turns out to be JUST LIKE EVERYBODY ELSE. I liken it to a cosmic bitch slap in the face.

I'm sorry it has taken me so long to answer this. The change was very quick - all happened within the year they received the covid vax. She was once a kind, unique, and very caring soul. Now she is very narcissistic and doing most things to try to fit into the crowd. We were best friends and now she ignores messages from me. Really, it's like she's a different person entirely. I don't know how else to describe it.

Extreme narcissism and total lack of empathy in someone who was once very caring. An extreme need to "fit in" in someone who was once very unique and an individual.

It is very personal and hurtful to me, so hard to talk about. It's not been just recently, but over the last few years since the vaccine was first being given. I realize people change but this seems like more. Someone told me it changes the DNA of the person...!

I get that you're anti Trump. If you lived in America, you would feel much different. Beyond that, I don't know what you're talking about and not sure you do either. You definitely have no first hand experience. And for future reference, it's a European "who" doesn't... and people "who" are in bed. "That" is for things and objects. Just a pet peave of mine.

I'm curious to know if any unvaccinated people have noticed personality changes in people they know who were vaccinated. I've tried to research the topic online and haven't found anything. I've noticed major changes.

I used to try a long time ago. It's truly exhausting to try to fit into society's definition of "normal". I never have, never will. But it took some years to accept that.
