Plans to phase out the sale of cigarettes in England will be the "biggest public health intervention in a generation", Rishi Sunak has said.
The PM told the BBC there was "no safe level of smoking" when asked about restricting people's right to choose.
His plan seeks to raise the legal age of smoking every year by a year so that eventually no-one can buy tobacco.'

Within the next 90-180 days Optimus units will start streaming off the production line.
The robots will be rented or sold to customers, used in Tesla's giga factory's and by other manufacturers.

To many sorting colored blocks into the right box might seem rather trivial. But is that all that's going on here? Take a look...
People will compare this to Boston Dynamics and say its rubbish. Here's a clue, Boston Dynamics robots have to be programed for each task (display) they perform, like a bot in a factory. The Boston Dynamics bots have a start and end point and everything in-between has to be coded beforehand. They cant do anything other than follow that program. All the code for the Tesla Bot is written, done, finished. Its learning the same way we do and everytime a Tesla bot learns something, so do all the rest.

OK thanks for clarifying.
My understanding is that the UK government and energy providers are promoting 'air source' heat pumps in lieu of 'ground source'.
Ground source sounds in theory 'better' than air source, but I remain sceptical.
If your property sits on a large amount of land then ground source might be feasible, but for many people living in large cities/towns then it isn't going to be.
I wrote about a Taxpayer Alliance report on my website last year:
https://thegrumpyowl.co.uk/2022/04/16/heat-pumps-the-future-of-home-heating-is-the-cost-worth-it/
As these require electricity to operate, I can't see these being particularly effective at heating a home when it is really cold outside.
I, as a user have tried to give you good advice from personal and practical experience, take it or leave it.

what was the size of the area in square metres that the underground cables were laid over for your ground source heating?
also i take it you are using a smart phone to control your heating?
Yes I use a smart device, phone/tablet/watch/whatever to control my heating/cooling, but i don't have to. I've not checked recently, does the guy who's name cannot be mentioned still have his smartphone app?
A ground source heat pump needs more space than an air source heat pump. A typical horizontal system requires around 700 square metres. A vertical system needs enough space for the drilling rig to access the site, but boreholes are only around 20 centimetres wide. If multiple boreholes are needed, these are placed 5-6 metres apart.

I seriously doubt that. Heat pumps are apparently very inefficient (and noisy) at actually heating anything compared to gas central heating and a condensing boiler - and you need to change all your pipework and radiators - very expensive. Ground source might be better than air source, but you need to be rich enough to have a decent garden for ground source. Why would we need to cool anything artificially? Just open a door or a window...
Im not lying
It's no more noisy than a refrigerator and only runs for a fraction of the time.
You definitely do not need to change radiators or piping.
You may not have use for cool air conditioning, some do. For them/me opening a window is not the same.
Obviously its up to you, for me I'm saving a packet and have perfect air and water temperature, much cheaper than before.
Being able to control the system by my phone has convince and economic benefits.

I'm genuinely curious as I don't know anyone who has one of these.
How much did it cost and how much does it cost to run? How have you found it?
A heat pump should reduce your energy bill for heating by 50%.
Installation bepends on the size of your property.
It's important to remember that heat pumps can also cool the property. Im not sweating my tits off as I type this

I had a ground source heat pump fitted 3 years ago. It's paid for its self and I'm saving a considerable amount of dosh.

i got 2 in my garage on a small antenna and a handheld one.
am thinking of buying a 5 metre antenna storing it away for the right time
buying bits each month
CB is OK for 20 miles or so.
I have an armature radio licence and sometimes use DMR. Like the UK police radios it's a cross between a mobile phone and a digital transceiver but it doesn't rely on any mobile phone network. Using a handheld radio I can contact people world wide either through general calls or directly by calling their personal number. You can also send txt messages.
The cheapest DMR radios are under £50. Of course you need a licence but who's going to bother in a national emergency.

What's this 'weffer bot" anyway?

Contrary to common disinformation about electric vehicles, the data has shown that EVs are 20 times less likely to catch fire than petrol and diesel cars.

Tesla car fires are a rare occurrence and the risk of fire is much lower than that of internal combustion engine vehicles.
Tesla cars all achive the highest safety score in there class and insurance companies reflect this in there premiums. That makes a mockery of this death trap nonsense some for whatever reason are pushing.

It sucks... It could have advanced AI (we can't tell after this video) but its moves are really poor... They should learn from Boston Dynamics... These are good indeed. BTW in 2020 Hyundai bought them... Probably Musk should buy Hyundai if he thinks seriously about robots xD
Boston Dynamics and Hyundai should have learnt from Tesla, in fact all manufacturing companies should. Designing and building prototypes is easy manufacturing is the hard part, building the machine that builds the machine.
Tesla bots will be far superior to anything you have seen from Boston Dynamics, they will come to market, unlike their counterparts, and they will be affordable.
Both Ford and Toyota have said they have to start manufacturing cars the way Tesla do.
Tesla has become the most valuable car company in the world in no time. The model Y is the biggest selling car in the world. The factory is the product, its as simple as that.

Electricity isn't more expensive with a smart meter. The price of your electricity will stay the same whether or not you have a smart meter.
A lump of crystal will not slow the 'mechanism' down
