The Beethoven thing is what baffles me. It started out as what looked like a meme, but then some people took it seriously. It's silly because even if one was to believe that Beethoven powdered his face or something, there are paintings of Beethoven's family that get ignored, and like I said, there are other gifted black composers so I don't know why people focus on him.
