The issue is that Israel denies having them, unlike every other country that has them, which is breach of International Law. l'd have to go check the name...( Mordechai Vanunu )...but a whistle blower who told the world that Israel had developed atomic / nuclear weapons was illegally kidnapped from Italy.....and put on trial in Israel with his teeth wired up so he couldn't talk. And - By not acknowledging possession of nuclear weapons, Israel avoids a US legal prohibition on funding countries that proliferate weapons of mass destruction. Such an admission would prevent Israel from receiving over $2 billion each year in military and other aid from Washington. Really really not good.
