I'd like to believe given Wealth and or influence I would change things for the better. However the old adage that absolute power corrupts absolutely, I know this for myself to be true after a small bit of power I was given at School corrupted me to cheat for my own benefit, my ego. I hope now 22 years on I wouldn't be so corrupted by any power, I've never sought after it since even though I was given this position because of my trustworthy nature, which proved not to be as strong as believed. One thing that cemented my awakening at the age of 19 was that we have to pay from water, the key to our survival. I haven't paid in years to be fair, I'm on a shared supply of with the neighbours so knowing that I refuse to pay ( my small victory in this battle that is life) If I ever fall into a bit of power again I strive to use it for good and not be corrupted by it. Thougg it is not something I want or will look for

(Yeah I know but freelancers need a forum to advertise) It's estimated 3 million people have been left out to dry without furlough or self employed support. Were you to read through the page you would learn about a of people left in despair due to having their incomes taken away due to lockdowns. That's a huge number and although a small percentage of the population my time in the group the cognitive dissonance coming from the people who have been helped is on the levels of saying to somebody 9/11 was an inside job. On the flip side it's good to see people in the group really turning against the politicians and the seeds of doubt growing that something needs to be done about the controller's. No real point to my post other than to make anybody on here like myself aware that a large number of people have been screwed as well. Rishi Sunak is not a liked individual over there, saville levels of contempt.

Such a shame. A month or so ago there was people questioning KD intentions towards the site (suggesting he's a shill/honeytrap) I could see the forum going down hill from there unfortunately. I never interacted there as it was so heavily research based interactions, it made for great reading however.

The misses and I went out with the intention of eating in a restaurant a couple of weeks ago we got in the door to be greeted by a waitress wearing a mask, I looked round the dining room to see all staff masked up and I just couldn't do it and had to leave ended up with a bag of fish and chips each before the drive home. Shame that the first place we tried the staff all had faces but unfortunately fully booked. I always thought my job would be safe until the other day where I saw automaton burger robots, what's next robo fish filleters?

A lot of truth ride forever and very rarely has being a good honest person been for my benefit. I discussed this with somebody recently a fellow honest virtuous person and we can't understand why the pack want to tear us down all the time despite this we will never change our behaviour toward others.

I received universal credit only as I'm fairly recently self employed so lost out on my Summer/Autumn contract. To be honest it makes me sick that people got the grant whilst not losing out on earnings and people like myself and many others get next to fuck all.
