  2. "There is a vile threat to the “rugged American individualism” that actually created the U.S.A. by the bureaucratic crowd who want society to be a convict prison. “Safety first” — there is no “social insecurity,” no fear for the future, no anxiety about what to do next — in Sing Sing. All the totalitarian schemes add up to the same in the end. And the approach is so insidious, the arguments so subtle and irrefutable, the advantages so obvious — that the danger is very real, very imminent, very difficult to bring home to the average citizen, who sees only the immediate gain, and is hoodwinked as to the price that must be paid for it." - Crowley "The natural liberty of man is to be free from any superior power on Earth, and not to be under the will or legislative authority of man, but only to have the law of nature for his rule". - Samuel Adams “The whole aim of practical politics is to keep the populace alarmed (and hence clamorous to be led to safety) by an endless series of hobgoblins, most of them imaginary.” - H.L. Mencken
  3. "There is nothing worse than self-deception - when the deceiver is at home and always with you". - Plato “Men have been taught that it is a virtue to agree with others. ... Men have been taught that it is a virtue to stand together. But the creator is the man who stands alone". - Ayn Rand "The masses have never thirsted after truth. They turn aside from evidence that is not to their taste, preferring to deify error, if error seduce them. Whoever can supply them with illusions is easily their master; whoever attempts to destroy their illusions is always their victim". - Gustave Le Bon (The Crowd)
  4. This does sound like a bad reaction to caffeine. As already mentioned try decaf or low caffeinated coffee. I'd always encourage using your local roaster or coffee shop for beans too. You'll be drinking far better quality coffee whilst supporting independent coffee farmers, roasters and of course coffee shops.
  5. You did make my blood boil a little bit there, you've dissed half of my trade, hehe kidding! This is definitely down to personal experience or lack there of when it comes to coffee, good quality coffee that is. Take a peak into the speciality sector of coffee (or just properly made coffee from farm to cup) you will see the massive jump in quality. No longer do we have to drink coffee that tastes like it's been sieved through an ash tray! In fact, the spectrum of flavours naturally produced by coffee is bloody astounding! It's not for everyone of course. But quality coffee is now readily available...... and you won't find it on your supermarket shelf!
  6. As always buy independent, buy local. The big boys will always look after themselves. I work in the beer industry, the majority of micro-breweries are doing just fine. It's the future of (independent) pubs and bars that's worrying.
  7. This sprung up in my mind earlier too. The taste is certainly in the air. It's going to be another huge year for certain.
  8. Has anyone got any live feeds? Or Such footage?
  9. Oh hey look micro-chips are normal now.. my turn! GET OUT OF HERE!
  10. Anyone else getting the side effects of nausea and outrage from this utter shit show?!
