One common misconception about the moon is that we only see one side of it because it does not spin. It does rotate but it rotates at EXACTLY the same rate as it orbits our planet. Explanation From NASA :- EARTH'S MOON OBSERVE THE MOON NIGHT NASA Earth's Moon Moon in Motion Overview From Space Imagine you’re in a spaceship, traveling away from Earth. As you sail onward, you see our planet and its Moon locked together in their endless, circling, gravitational embrace. Your distant view gives you a unique perspective on the Moon that can be hard to visualize from the ground, where the Moon appears to sweep through the sky as an ever-changing globe of light. The Moon orbits Earth from a viewpoint above the North Pole in this animation. The blue gridlines show how the same side of the Moon always faces Earth. Not to scale. From your astronaut’s viewpoint, you can see that the Moon is an average of 238,855 miles (384,399 km) from Earth, or about the space that could be occupied by 30 Earths. It travels around our planet once every 27.322 days in an elliptical orbit, an elongated circle. The Moon is tidally locked with Earth, which means that it spins on its axis exactly once each time it orbits our planet. Because of this, people on Earth only ever see one side of the Moon. We call this motion synchronous rotation. The Moon’s orbit is tilted about 5 degrees compared to the plane of Earth’s orbit around the Sun. Because of this tilt, the Moon as seen from Earth’s perspective usually passes above or below the Sun when it passes between us and the Sun. The tilt of the Moon’s orbit prevents us from having monthly solar and lunar eclipses. This animation illustrates how the tilt of the Moon’s orbit often keeps it out of alignment with the Sun and Earth, preventing frequent eclipses. Credit: NASA's Scientific Visualization Studio

I am sure this has been covered but if Putin really wanted Zelensky dead, he'd be dead already. Something stinks and it is not just the convenient oil price hike.

I too believe there is an intelligent hand to the manipulation of DNA however not by a 'God' of the Abraham bible. I suppose to stone age man if we appeared them with our current technologies and knowledge we would appear as 'gods'.

From the NASA webpage, the structure of the moon 'Earth's Moon has a core, mantle, and crust. The Moon’s core is proportionally smaller than other terrestrial bodies' cores. The solid, iron-rich inner core is 149 miles (240 kilometers) in radius. It is surrounded by a liquid iron shell 56 miles (90 kilometers) thick. A partially molten layer with a thickness of 93 miles (150 kilometers) surrounds the iron core. The mantle extends from the top of the partially molten layer to the bottom of the Moon's crust. It is most likely made of minerals like olivine and pyroxene, which are made up of magnesium, iron, silicon, and oxygen atoms. The crust has a thickness of about 43 miles (70 kilometers) on the Moon’s near-side hemisphere and 93 miles (150 kilometers) on the far-side. It is made of oxygen, silicon, magnesium, iron, calcium, and aluminum, with small amounts of titanium, uranium, thorium, potassium, and hydrogen.' This is entirely different from the Earth's structure. Again from NASA 'The leading theory of the Moon’s origin is that a Mars-sized body collided with Earth approximately 4.5 billion years ago, and the resulting debris from both Earth and the impactor accumulated to form our natural satellite. The newly formed Moon was in a molten state. Within about 100 million years, most of the global “magma ocean” had crystallized, with less-dense rocks floating upward and eventually forming the lunar crust. The early Moon may have developed an internal dynamo, the mechanism for global magnetic fields for terrestrial planets.'

Really interesting topic and one which gets neglected. Ever wondered why it is still called THEORY of evolution, not the FACT of evolution?? This is because the transitional fossils showing species changing i.e fish to frogs for example have never been found. Darwin stated that in order for his theory to be correct these transitional fossils must be found. There is strong evidence of species development within its category but no evidence at all of cross species changes. Archaeopteryx was often posited as an example of reptile / bird changes and a transitional fossil but is now accepted that it was just a distinct extinct animal that shows no evidence of transition further into a bird.

I just wanted to say thank you to @Fluke and @sickofallthebollocks for enquiring after me, it was very much appreciated. I've been reading as a guest for some time as I had a situation occur which I shared with @Basket Case(who I trust). I 'think' the situation is resolved and I see that here on the forum 'things' seem to be moving to a much fairer and open community. @FlukeI remember being horrified at your ban, it was completely unfair and quickly reversed thankfully. Ink's Forum advisor suggestion definitely seems like the right way forward coupled with the moderation of new member posts to make spammers really have to work hard to be here will make this an environment like it should be, a place to exchange thoughts, ideas, hidden facts, specialist knowledge without tiresome trolling. I also note my warning points I had which were ' never to expire ' and which had been awarded to me without going through the correct moderation process appear to have been removed. Anyway, I'll cautiously put my toes back in the water and see how we get on.

Bill and Melinda Gates are divorcing after 27 years
kj35 replied to Mr Chinnery's topic in Over 14 days old
This morning it is being reported that Melinda contacted divorce lawyers after it came out that Bill had contacted Jeffrey Epstein. Note, when it came out that he'd contacted him in 2019, not when he actually visited him which was 2011. Again, I think this is a funnelling off of half the wealth to protect it. -
You may be right. Stick around though and you'll see what I'm referring to is not the posters like yourself but those who come and post once or twice, cause maximum disruption or nonsense or plain weirdness within a thread then disappear off. The moderators know me well enough now to know I wasn't trying to limit free speech but stop the forum being hijacked. No more, no less.
-
As you've 29 likes already , you don't count I'm afraid. And I didn't join here to disrupt unlike many of the one post wonders I'm referring to. As you were, high horse is waiting.

I agree some will. But it might put off the bulk of the nut jobs. That said it's more work for moderators. I hadn't posted for a couple of months and when I came back there seemed to be a huge increase.
-
Even if there's a delay between joining and being allowed to public post outside of a newcomer thread?
-
I'm sure it's been thought about but could we have another think about possibly restricting new members to a new member post for say at least 3 posts? Or even one, which gets reviewed and they're either then released onto main forums or left unable to post until prove they're not a bot or a disrupter? I know a lot will still get through , the more determined but it might cut down the weekend drunk nutjobs

I think it's a good way of funnelling off half the wealth and protecting it. Which means old Billy boy is about to do stuff that even he knows might get him called out finally. -

David Icke a Freemason according to Twitter thread
kj35 replied to Bee's topic in David Icke Discussion
Also, when DI says he found out, before the information was in public circulation he would not legally have been allowed to publish that in his books. He would have been taken to pieces by Savilles lawyers for libel. There's a reason a lot of this started to get published once Seville was dead. I knew about Rolf Harris as I had personal experience of him harassing (me). No one would have believed that this national treasure was capable of this. It only went public about Harris when they decided there was enough ebidence to prosecute. My work colleagues who were with me and witnessed it were all shocked. And every one of them said once the claims about Rolfie came out they knew straight away they were true. But without crown prosecution support there's nothing you can say publicly. So I'd believe David when he says he did what he could, even if it's not in the books from the time. -
Agreed, also that's not shorting it's pump and dump if it's anything at all
