Wasn't sure if to put this in minor news, but to me, it's big news. We got a government who's drops a spying case against China, claiming China is a challenge not an enemy. But they officially state China has national security concerns, but it represents a growth opportunity, so we'll risk it anyway. But you the people, we won't let you risk 2 glasses of sugary drinks. One is a national security concern, the other is a lifestyle choice. We have to be legislated against to much sugar, but the government dropped a spying case against a hostile foreign government that has security issues on the basis it may invest money. So national security concerns go out the window in favour of investment but our personal choices have to be legislated? Secondly, who the f*ck do they think they are? I've often walked into a pub and downed my first pint because of thirst and ordered a second. I can't do that when I pay to go to a restaurant? What next? Waiters taught to calories count and refuse to serve if it breaks a limit? Menu choices limited to what the government say us good for us and which food groups we can have. FFS. This government is going to destroy the UK and move us to hardline socialism or communism. They will not listen to the public or their own petitions. They engage in Tax fraud and freebies while preaching to us about ethics and decency. Digital ID and laws like this are just the beginning of the nightmare they would force on us. Nando's restricts customers to one Coke per visit under new 'nanny state' rules triggering customer backlash Nando's has sparked a backlash after restricting customers to a single glass of Coca-Cola Classic under new government rules aimed at cutting sugar consumption. The Peri-Peri chicken chain, known for its 'bottomless' drink option, previously allowed diners to refill s But while zero-sugar options such as Sprite Zero and Fanta Zero remain unlimited, Coca-Cola Classic is now capped at one serving. An updated sticker on Nando's drinks machines now reads: 'Want Coca-Cola Classic? It's one glass only. 'Based on new government laws, we've had to limit Coca-Cola Classic to one glass per customer. Still thirsty? Help yourself to one of our low-sugar fizzy bottomless soft drinks.' The move immediately triggered complaints on social media. One X user wrote: 'Welcome to the nanny state.' Another said: 'This must be a joke.' Link - https://www.dailymail.co.uk/femail/article-15165713/Nandos-restricting-customers-one-Coca-Cola.html Its not a joke, it's totalitarian tip toe.4 points

When we get the ID cards and social credit system we will all be banned from more than one coke a day! I can see a time when the government introduce some “Healthy Lifestyle to Save the NHS” bill. If we choose to eat unhealthy and drink unhealthy we need to pay a premium for NHS services. I recall some people calling for that kind of system during the covid scam. Anyone not jabbed shouldn’t be allowed nhs care. It’s gonna happen… sugar tax is already a thing…3 points

Get your snouts in the trough! MP 'hopes Labour is not trying to buy people off' from: https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/cderjjpjl1po It all sounds very good, but it all depends on how much of the money is actually spent on improving things for residents and communities in those areas. £2m a year in the grand scheme of things isn't a huge amount of money - but you can already envisage certain individuals setting up quangos such as 'charitable trusts' and 'community interest groups', ready to bid for 'funding', which they can then find ways of laundering off into private hands. And you can bet that any money that is actually spent will end up being wasted on useless projects and schemes which don't benefit the wider community.2 points

Couple the ID with Digital Currency and I can see a day when we go to the pub and after a number of drinks our money will be shut off. You've had what we believe is enough, the government says go home. Thats if pubs survive, it seems to me part of the agenda is to remove public meeting places. So we don't talk. They did it with Coffee Shops before, the Public would meet, no doubt someone bought a newspaper and they would discuss. It was feared a revolution might arise from the Public meeting up to discuss current affairs. It sounds mad, but I think Starmer and others are mad. I think they are trying to break the system while restricting our freedoms so they can eventually say 'whoops, oh it's all gone wrong, oh well, here's communism instead' They are setting the country up so all the wealth, from defence spending to home ownership is in the hands of offshore companies. All the money gets sucked out of the country and we're forever debt slaves. Starmer is mad enough to do it. Why is the Government considering farming out the Digital ID to a Private company? Its government business, government is responsible for its security. If they farm it out, and it's hacked, government will shrug it's shoulders, it's not our fault. When it is, because they farmed it out to a company that will put profits first. We send electrical scrap abroad so children in India can boil the circuit boards to recover metals at great detriment to their health. We don't care what happens when it leaves our shores, we're not responsible for other countries. But Net Zero, net zero says we have to decarbonize our economy because it's a global thing. Doesn't matter if our contribution is small in comparison. Well why doesn't the same apply to dumping rubbish abroad? Its still environmentally damaging, it's damaging children, why is that not considered on a global scale? They pick and choose. As with Gaza, there is selective outrage. We must have net zero for global good citizenship, but we'll dump all our toxic crap abroad in a non environmental manner so we don't have to deal with it. Its incredible.2 points

If you followed the Russian mainstream media, or if you'd read my post on another thread three weeks ago, you could have predicted that Tommy Robinson would visit Israel at some point. Unless it happens to suit you. "The average Brit who shows up at these rallies thinks that they’re organically resisting globalist elites, when in reality they’re marching under a banner sponsored by hidden interests in Israel’s PR war. At a moment when even some of Israel’s bought-and-paid-for allies (like Kirk) were starting to question Netanyahu’s Gaza liquidation, you’d think that it might be worth at least mentioning the primary beneficiary. But apparently it’s better for everyone to pretend that it’s just a grassroots cry of the heart, rather than a well-funded franchise operation. So the next time you see Tommy Robinson waving a flag and shouting about saving Britain, perhaps keep in mind that it’s less “God Save the King” and more “Bibi Saving the Brand.” Unless, of course, that happens to suit you." https://www.rt.com/news/624678-tommy-robinson-israel-links/2 points

Rather than prevent the wave of immigrants from crossing the channel or stop the flow of asylum seekers by ceasing the destruction in their native lands, the Tories intend to change our laws, now that the foreigners are here. Like Farage, who vowed to deport 600,000 people, Kermit Badenoch (puppet) will remove the UK from the ECHR. Thereafter, they can implement any outrageous measures they choose. The ‘Guardian’ who knows what she will say at the party conference, claims Badenoch will tell delegates: “Reform have nothing but announcements that fall apart on arrival.” Whereas, the Conservatives will deliver! They are proposing to introduce a “removal force” based on the ICE model in the US, who are terrorising American cities; which Badenoch believes has been a “successful approach.” She will find many flag waving recruits (flaggots) in the UK willing to do that job. The masked taskforce would be given £1.6bn and “sweeping new powers” to deport 150,000 people a year in a move to tackle the “scourge” of illegal immigration. This would include the ability to use facial recognition technology without warning to help identify those eligible for removal from the UK. Under the plans, the taskforce would be expected to “work closely” with the police. Officers would be required to conduct immigration checks on everyone they stop or arrest. Papers please? By then, everyone will have Digital ID and like Starmer, Badenoch says, “that it is necessary to protect our borders, our veterans and our citizens.” Badenoch will say, “few” people would qualify for asylum under the tightened rules. The plans would also deny legal aid to those fighting immigration cases. Badenoch will argue there is “no need for lawyers” as people “should simply tell the truth about their circumstances.” As in the US, those who are detained will have no recourse under the law. https://www.theguardian.com/politics/2025/oct/04/tories-to-pledge-to-create-immigration-taskforce-modelled-on-trumps-ice2 points

Nationalism in white countries has been completely taken over by Jews, especially Zionist ones. Old school nationalism that was openly skeptical of Zionism and the behaviour of anti-white Jews in government is now dead as a doornail. They've really done a number of nationalists/patriots in Britain, most of them won't hear a word of criticism said about Jews and would gladly fight for Zionism if Tommy told them to.1 point

@peter this is a briliantly composed text about religinon The Throne of Smoke – The Collapse of the Catholic Empire and the Lie That Ruled the World By Jason Gray Neil Hague - memes and headline comments by David Icke “The greatest sin ever committed was not by a man, but by an institution that sold him to the world as a god, and called it salvation.” The Vatican Does Not Mourn…The Vatican does not mourn. It calcifies. The decay is spiritual, not structural. Its gold-plated cathedrals, built upon corpses and crowned in delusion, are mausoleums of empire, not houses of divinity. They echo not with holiness, but with the weight of centuries of manipulation and betrayal. The death of the Pope, whether literal or mythic, is not the loss of a spiritual leader. It is the final exhalation of a dying god machine whose gears were greased with blood and belief. The world doesn’t need a new Pope. It needs to see through the entire illusion. The spiritual gravity of the Vatican has reversed, it no longer pulls the soul upward, but drags it into simulation. The Lie That Shaped the World The figure known as “Christ” was never a man. He was a brand. A construct. A product. An amalgam of older solar deities, Horus, Mithra, Dionysus, Osiris, repackaged by imperial architects at the Council of Nicaea to unify Rome under a single spiritual currency. The virgin birth? A mythological motif. The resurrection? A solar metaphor. The Church didn’t give the world a saviour, it gave the world a story, carefully constructed to control mass consciousness. Through this story, the Church claimed access to:• Empires• Minds• Bloodlines • Wombs • Soul . It didn’t inherit the divine. It monopolised it. It didn’t protect the sacred. It branded it. The Popes – Kings in Robes, Liars in Latin Pope Francis, like those before him, was not a bridge to heaven, but a dam holding back awakening. He spoke of humility, of healing, of the poor. But his hands signed the same decrees. His silence weighed as heavily as those who raped children and buried truth beneath cassocks and cathedrals. He was the last firewall, a human placeholder for a dying system. He was not a saint. He was a gatekeeper of inertia, preventing collapse by simulating compassion. Now the firewall has failed. The illusion has cracked. The gate is buckling. And through it floods the fire of revelation. If there is a realm of low vibration, a psychic density so thick that no light can pass, his spirit now resides in it. Not in punishment, but in natural energetic consequence. The Crimes Etched in Eternity Let the record of the Church’s true history stand, not as myth, but as indictment: • The genocide of indigenous peoples under the banner of conversion. • The burning of women who held herbal, spiritual, or sexual wisdom. • The imprisonment of knowledge in catacombs, forbidden scrolls, and chained Bibles. • The sexual exploitation of children protected by doctrine and silence. • The suppression of the divine feminine, mysticism, astrology, gnosis, and sacred union. The Church didn’t spread salvation. It trafficked souls. It used confession to harvest guilt. It used ritual to suppress vibration. It used scripture as sorcery. It baptized bloodlines in order to own their karma. This was not the work of God. This was high-frequency black magic cloaked in white robes. The Vibration of Hell Forget pitchforks. Forget devils. Hell is a frequency, a condition of the soul trapped in distortion, separation, shame, and spiritual paralysis. The Church created hell and called it salvation. Its dogma lowers the field. Its guilt programs hijack the nervous system. Its rituals drain sovereignty and bind the soul to eternal indebtedness. It doesn’t free souls, it captures them in a false light matrix. No fire is needed to burn a soul kept from its own light. The Church did this expertly, for centuries. It promised heaven, while turning God into a ghost and your body into a prison. The Return of the Unmediated Soul Something ancient is stirring. The unmediated soul is rising. The ones who remember. The ones who never bought the lie. The ones who gave their innocence, but now reclaim their divinity. We no longer need intermediaries. We no longer kneel before marble altars. We no longer outsource our connection to Source. The divine speaks within, not from pulpits. It moves through gnosis, not doctrine. It awakens in presence, not penance. The age of the middleman is over. The age of direct communion has begun. The soul knows. It always knew. Now it remembers. An Empire in Ashes Let the stones of St. Peter’s Basilica fall. Let the vaults of the Vatican open. Let the smoke of burned illusions rise from the remnants. The Catholic Church’s era is over, not in rebellion, but in revelation. The gates it locked are now open. The codes it hid are returning. The voices it silenced are rising in chorus. The sacred was never theirs to own. It was never for sale. And it sure as hell isn’t behind gold doors in Rome. A New Dawn – The Age of Inner Divinity This is the new era, not of godless rebellion, but of radical remembrance. The myth is ash. The throne is smoke. The only true altar is the human heart. The only scripture is the breath. The only law is love without leash. No more sacraments. No more saints. No more idols in white robes demanding your obedience. The lie is dead. And in its place? YOU. Radiant. Whole. Divine. Unowned. Free.1 point

The walls with black and orange wallpaper, where this paper was peeling off walls because of the mold underneath (this can mean spiritual decay but also transformation blah blah) I wondered what the orange was about ....thanks your post just nudged me, the victims had orange jumpsuits. So ‘everyone’ in the media has had to debate / pick a side again on whether the Pro-Palestine protests should go ahead this weekend. Of course the hypocrisy is overwhelming? Why in this case but not others? It occurred to me that it’s not the first time that we’ve heard something like this with ‘clearly’ two sides pitted against each other, egged on by external ‘forces’, and heavily debated in the media. In 2007 for instance, the public would line the streets in the now Royal Wootton Bassett, to pay their respects to the dead soldiers being flown back home. Muslims like Anjem Choudary wanted to use this as a chance to hold a protest against the war in Afghanistan. I saw the name Tom Robinson in an article written ‘back then’. There was a lot of debate during Bush and Blair’s wars as to whether anti-war protestors (of any nationality) were being disrespectful. I saw hate and fear towards the Muslims, fired up by the newspapers and the films. And sometimes the protests in the early 2000’s were more generally anti-war, than anti-someone?! The articles and the language of that time are very interesting. Some of the roots of the division (and fake division) that we see now started back then. That’s not to say it was invented then but just that there’s something for every generation. There are so many layers to deceit. 100 years is nothing really? https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-us-canada-11488556 US Supreme Court hears military funeral protest case1 point

Yeah I feel there is both physical "shedding" and also spiritual shedding. This was definitely a physical shedding from her very new bivalent jab. She died five months later from multiple organ failure. Her aura was clouded with multiple jab demons however. I had to help her cross over (just mentioned this in another thread) and I saw four or five entities attached to her. I got her to cross over and they then came for me. I saw them wide awake but now they were changing shape into a pit of snakes. I got them to go however, and they went through the window. It was interesting to see, and it's as though even if I don't know someones jab status, I am able to at least suspect it due to the energy of them, and what's in their aura kinda thing.1 point

None of the news footage I have seen makes logical sense. The alleged terrorist is seen lying on the floor with blood around him, and 2 armed officers shouting and aiming their weapons at him. In the foreground there's a couple who look slightly bemused and nonchalant at the goings on..with absolutely no fear..they just watch. Also in any armed response unit, standard operating procedure will include the tying back/bunching of long hair. Within the footage, a female armed officer can be seen with hair loosely flowing at the back. It all smells. Very badly.1 point

Palantir UK boss rules out contract bids for digital ID over 'undemocratic' concern Fiona Brown Fri 3 October 2025 at 1:27 pm BST 2 min read US spyware firm has ruled out helping the UK Government implement digital ID over concerns the legislation is “undemocratic”. Palantir Technologies, a software company which has previously been linked to the IDF, said it would not be participating in the roll-out and warned it was a “programme that needs to be decided at the ballot box”, according to reports from The Times. Due to its contracts with the Ministry of Defence (MoD) and its specialism in data management, as well as £1.5 billion in UK investments announced last month, Palantir was thought to be a possible bidder as digital IDs are set to become mandatory. The firm’s UK boss Louis Mosley said, however, that Palantir would not bid for contracts and criticised the UK Government’s decision to implement the IDs. Speaking to Times Radio, Mosley said the firm had “a policy that we will help democratically elected governments implement the policies they have been elected to deliver”, but added that since digital IDs were not on the Labour Party’s manifesto for the 2024 general election and therefore hasn’t seen “a clear resounding public support at the ballot box”, it “isn’t one for” Palantir. Mosley went on to say that he had “personal concerns” over the scheme and the potential abuses it could face, as well as the “technical necessity” for its implementation. We have all had the experience of engaging with parts of government where the online experience leaves something to be desired. It needs improvement”, he added. The Palantir boss went on to highlight the number of unique ID forms most UK citizens already possess – including passports, driving licenses, tax codes and National Insurance numbers – and how there was “no way” for the Government to move between each form. The Government has responded - we will not listen to you or your concerns. Response - The Government has announced plans to introduce a digital ID system which is fit for the needs of modern Britain. We are committed to making people’s everyday lives easier and more secure, to putting more control in their hands (including over their own data), and to driving growth through harnessing digital technology. We also want to learn from countries which have digitised government services for the benefit of their citizens, in line with our manifesto commitment to modernise government. Currently, when UK citizens and residents use public services, start a new job, or, for example, buy alcohol, they often need to present an assortment of physical documents to prove who they are or things about themselves. This is both bureaucratic for the individual and creates space for abuse and fraud. This includes known issues with illegal working and modern slavery, while the fragmented approach and multiple systems across Government make it difficult for people to access vital services. Further, there are too many people who are excluded, like the 1 in 10 UK adults who don’t have a physical photo ID, so can struggle to prove who they are and access the products and services they are entitled to. To tackle these interlinked issues, we will introduce a new national digital ID. This is not a card but a new digital identity that will be available for free to all UK citizens and legal residents aged 16 and over (although we will consider through consultation if this should be age 13 and over). Over time, people will be able to use it to seamlessly access a range of public and private sector services, with the aim of making our everyday lives easier and more secure. It will not be compulsory to obtain a digital ID but it will be mandatory for some applications. For example, the new digital ID will build on GOV.UK One Login and the GOV.UK Wallet to drive the transformation of public services. Over time, this system will allow people to access government services – such as benefits or tax records – without needing to remember multiple logins or provide physical documents. It will significantly streamline interactions with the state, saving time and reducing frustrating paperwork, while also helping to create opportunities for more joined up government services. International examples show how beneficial this can be. For instance, Estonia’s system reportedly saves each citizen hours every month by streamlining unnecessary bureaucracy, and the move to becoming a digital society has saved taxpayer money. By the end of this Parliament, employers will have to check the new digital ID when conducting a ‘right to work’ check. This will help combat criminal gangs who promise access to the UK labour market in order to profit from dangerous and illegal channel crossings. It will create a fairer system between UK citizens and legal residents, crack down on forged documents, and streamline the process for employers, driving up compliance. Further, it will create business information showing where employers are conducting checks, so driving more targeted action against non-compliant employers. For clarity, it will not be a criminal offence to not hold a digital ID and police will not be able to demand to see a digital ID as part of a “stop and search.” Privacy and security will also be central to the digital ID programme. We will follow data protection law and best practice in creating a system which people can rightly put their trust in. People in the UK already know and trust digital credentials held in their phone wallets to use in their everyday lives, from paying for things to storing boarding passes. The new system will be built on similar technology and be your boarding pass to government. Digitally checkable digital credentials are more secure than physical documents which can be lost, copied or forged, and often mean sharing more information than just what is necessary for a given transaction. The new system will be designed in accordance with the highest security standards to protect against a comprehensive range of threats, including cyber-attacks. We will launch a public consultation in the coming weeks and work closely with employers, trade unions, civil society groups and other stakeholders, to co-design the scheme and ensure it is as secure and inclusive as possible. Following consultation, we will seek to bring forward legislation to underpin this system. Department for Science, Innovation and Technology Blair, Blair, Blair Sorry I mean, Blah, Blah, Blah (we're not listening) They are telling us it's about inclusion, and making our lives easier as well as stopping migration and illegal working. Which is bullsh*t1 point

It used to be said on the internet when a discussion descends into accusations of Racism or playing the Hitler card, the person has lost the argument. If you don't have facts and resort to insults, you've lost. To hear our leaders making baseless accusations of Racism, when no clear unequivocal evidence exists, I say they are not fit to be in power. For Starmer to spend his career fighting for immigrants and opposing any schemes to fix the problem, and now he says it was everyone else who caused the problem - means he is the Snake Oil salesman. To accuse people who don't agree with him as racist and to see ethnic minority members use the Racist card, it's beyond gutter politics. None of these people are fit to hold office. Starmer did we're at a fork and we can choose 'decency' So he is saying, we are NOT decent. We bailed out the banks, we followed Covid restrictions, we've allowed 10's of thousands of immigrants to come in. But we're not decent. It's gonna take a government who falsely accuses everyone who doesn't agree with them of racism and a government who fiddles their taxes and accepts freebies, to show us how to be decent? Even Starmer has called for Rayner to come back. Farage, where no evidence exists is labeled racist. Rayner, caught avoiding tax, should be allowed back into government. The immigration problem is all our own fault for voting for Brexit. But that doesn't mean Labour will stop them, no, Labour will continue to allow large numbers in and blame us for it while ignoring his role in it and the EHCR laws that he rigorously enforces and upholds. We can't deport them if they don't like Chicken Nuggets. Starmer is fine with that, it's our fault in the first place and if you don't agree - your racist. Meanwhile, they need tax avoiders and MP's who make false claims of racism to govern us and teach us decency. Jesus H Christ.1 point

Keir Starmer has spent his career as Human Rights lawyer, he has pioneered preventing immigrants return because they don't like chicken nuggets in their own country. He spent his entire time in opposition blocking every attempt to deport immigrants, every scheme designed to control the problem and he has the gall to blame the last government for the increase in immigrants. Now, despite all the advice to the contrary, he wants to roll out Digital ID adding further costs to an already broken economy. This is ideology over common sense. Ideology over the will of the public. They should have stopped spending, stopped borrowing, deported immigrants to relieve housing, schools, NHS and benefits burden. Instead they increase spending, target pensioners and disabled in order to introduce their EU, Digital ID and currency ideology. If he had spent this Parliament stabilizing the economy and then in 4 years stated he wants national ID and to rejoin EU, it would have been different. Instead, he's hammering benefits, giving money to 'for profit social landlords' encouraging corporations to play a role in providing public services, blocking attempts to solve immigration, labeling citizens as far right, paying protesters and Police to stage public events in favour of his policies while speaking in a mealy mouth fashion that is so indifferent or on the fence that nobody knows what he truly stands for. He is a Fabian, hard-core socialist who hates capitalism and democracy. It is entirely conceivable and in keeping with Fabian strategy, to bit by bit, making bad decisions, that damage our system until it's broken. Gordon Briwn removing tax relief on pension schemes, everyone told him don't do it, but he thought he knew best, he killed our final salary pensions and wrecked pensions in general. Making us all poorer, totally in contradiction to what Labour stand for. Did he change it back? Did politicians and civil servants lose final salary and gold plated pensions? No. So Gordon Brown, Labour, the workers party, destroyed a part of our economy, by 'mistake' and it's impossible to 'undo' that mistake. Rachel Reeves discovered a £20Bn black hole, but oops, now it's £50Bn. Keir Starmer has developed the EHCR guidance to prevent the return of immigrants, blocked every scheme to solve the problem and now tells us, despite all his experience in human rights the best solution is to continue on course but issue national ID to help, in a small way, prevent immigrants working illegally. We just got to keep paying their benefits. Can they really be this incompetent? The answer is no. We are seeing the rise of their ideology, perhaps the final push to break our society completely, saddle us up with so much debt we'll never pay it off, transfer assets and services to the private, offshore sector who will suck the economy dry ensuring we will be perpetual debt slaves, and finally so closely aligning with EU that eventually we'll be back in it against our legal democratic referendum, ruled by multilayer bureaucracy with gold plated pensions and huge salaries. They will kill small businesses and wealth creators like farming, independent shops etc with regulations, taxes and business costs. Only offshore corporations will be able to compete. Curry's, the high st electrical shop, has offshored part of its business to survive in this economy. We will have corporate offshore landlords, banks, shops and our public services, including defence, will be run by private offshore shareholder backed investment companies. This is as far away from Labour 'for the worker' party ideology you can get. Nationalize services, strong unions, fair pay, low rents, great public services, strong safety net in welfare systems and good education. Labour, so far, and under Blair, is doing everything it can to saddle us with debt, regulations and taxes, forcing us to be multicultural but not our culture, while while encouraging Globalism and multinational corporate rule. When the party for the worker tell the workers they will not work unless they comply to their system because of a problem they themselves caused and will force it upon us without referendum or mandate which benefits no one but government control. Its Facism.1 point

https://thefreethoughtproject.com/fake-news/the-mainstream-alternative-media-is-the-biggest-threat-to-real-truth It's no secret that we live in the midst of an information war, and have for quite some time. Perpetual propaganda shapes the perspectives of the day, wherein establishment news outlets — either under the control of an editorial board with blatant conflicts of interest and financial incentives, or directly beholden to the intelligence community — skew facts and information to fit neatly in line with the agendas of their benefactors and the overall status quo of the state. They promote war in the interests of imperialism, they passively endorse the subjugation of marginalized communities via the police state or other means under the influence of colonialism, they tacitly obfuscate the systemic exploitation of the working class by crony-capitalist economic policies and corporatist monopolization of the monetary system. They actively promulgate institutionalized oligarchy and the false dichotomy of the duopoly to the detriment of individual liberty and personal sovereignty. Often times they do this while attempting to maintain some veneer of objectivity, crafting narratives and counter narratives to play off of the indoctrinated prejudices and confirmation biases of the masses. We've seen this in most recent years with the so-called culture war, "wokeness" versus "anti-wokeness" — nothing more than a slew of manufactured outrage as a tool of psychological warfare. At one point in time, not too long ago, the independent and alternative media served as a bulwark against these kinds of mind games, shining light in dark places, exposing acts of corruption and abuse. They didn't play the game of partisan politics instead choosing to follow the facts no matter where they lead, often for little or no reward while met with slander and derision the likes of being labeled "conspiracy theorist", but still acting as a bastion for the curious truth seeker all too aware that governments and their subservient institutions do not have the best interests of the people at heart. This kind of muckracking independent media, real fearless journalism not afraid to ask the hard questions, is what helped expose the truth of many sordid activities such as CIA involvement in drug trafficking, illegal mass surveillance, heinous war crimes, the military assassination of a sitting president, U.S. government complicity in 9/11, an international pedophile ring tied to intelligence agencies, and much more. But with the rise of podcast culture as time goes on, goal posts move, ideologies shift, attitudes change, all inside the ever swirling vortex of censorship, corruption, and bias, some figures and outlets within the independent media space previously held in high regard for their reporting have since fallen to disrepute, while some newcomers on the scene are propped up to have only the appearance of an alternative while shamelessly toeing the line of the status quo. These "influencers" no longer seek to uncover truth but rather... to influence. Promoting their own agendas, misleading the masses with misinformation that at times even contradicts their own previously held positions and reporting. Now serving as gatekeepers of independent media, rather than being a true alternative they only serve to promote "alternative" narratives within the false left-right paradigm to serve the ruling class, acting as a kind of controlled opposition. This outfit is typically referred to as the mainstream alternative media, and there are a number of notable names among them. Some are obvious, figures like Tucker Carlson or Laura Loomer have made a career out of simping for the state even if in some instances, like with Carlson, they attempt to rebrand themselves as an anti establishment talking head. Some pundits like Tim Pool rose to prominence parroting right wing talking points and shilling for Trump while pretending to present as an unbiased centrist. Others such as Luke Rudkowski, once renowned for his on the ground reporting, exposure of state corruption and promotion of libertarian ideals, has followed suit with Pool finding a new home in the MAGA crowd as a cheerleader for Trump. Others are a bit more subtle in their position. For instance Joe Rogan holds the position of being the most popular podcaster in the world, and while Rogan himself does not purport to be a journalist his platform typically hosts political commentary that fits neatly inside the bounds of the dichotomy. Some have made such a monumental shift towards embracing the grift that their lack of integrity is almost unparalleled. One prime example being that of Russell Brand, the former comedian and actor turned political commentator once a rising star in leftist media promoting anti-racism, decolonialism, environmentalism, exploration of consciousness, and radical political revolution has in recent years done a complete about face with his embrace of the far right and promotion of Christian nationalist ideals. But by far the most notable among these mainstream alternative media figures is none other than the man who helped the independent media rise to prominence in the first place — Alex Jones. Nowadays most people likely only know Jones for his ardent support of Donald Trump and viral clips of his cartoonish rants, alongside legacy media coverage of his numerous lawsuits. Once upon a time Alex Jones was a man credited with exposing the Bohemian Grove and the Bilderberg Group, protesting the military industrial complex and the lies of the Iraq war, and spoke out against the two party paradigm. Long before his embrace of alt-right nationalism there are those of us who remember when Alex Jones lead a protest against a KKK rally in Austin, Texas and ran the Klan out of town. Before he supported masked ICE agents disappearing people off of American streets, he produced documentaries exposing the militarization of law enforcement and the threat of the Police State. Jones and company have spent the last ten years making excuses for Trump. Nowadays Bilderberg comes and goes and barely receives any mention from the Infowars crew, and instead of protesting the war machine Alex Jones is now all in on promoting regime change in Venezuela, regurgitating the same neocolonialist lies the US empire has used to foment unrest in the country for years. We live in a world where the old cliché that knowledge is power is truer now than it ever has been, there is indeed a war on for our minds. Legacy media propagandists are quickly being replaced by presstitutes of the influencer age. Where grift is valued more than grit, consistency and integrity are more valuable than gold. The greatest threat to truth is the inversion from reality, do not fall for the shysters selling you culture war, interventionism, false binaries and fake political hopium. Truth is found where the principles of individual liberty, honor, justice, and integrity are strongest.1 point
