Scientisits have been able to grow pork meat from stem cells in a lab and are really happy because it could :
" one day offer a green alternative to raising livestock, help alleviate world hunger, and save some pigs their bacon. "
on my local radio station there was even a guy saying that maybe vegetarians might not object to eating this because :
"a pig didn't have to die for this meat".
Any other veggies out there think this is sick?
I suppose in the future there'll be a choice for meat eaters between; a)Stem-Cell animal meat really cheap, b)factory farmed animal meat more expensive and c)prohibitively expensive organic animal meat.
cherry on the pork chop is: the Dutch taxpayer paid for this:
"Maastricht University involved in the In-vitro Meat Consortium, a network of publicly funded Dutch research institutions that is carrying out the experiments."
:(
