The subconscious is powerful. It is aware of every particle and detail around you. But it doesn't know the difference between fact or fiction and acts on all information passing through the conscious mind as fact, and responds to it. So what do you think happens when you watch silly, moron, goofy commercials and television programs? They are training your thought processes. -Hey buddy, I'm talking to you. Yes, you, the guy sitting in front of the television. Turn down the sound a bit, so that you can hear what I am saying. Now, try to concentrate on what I am going to say. I want to talk to you about your favorite pastime. No, it's not baseball or football, although it does have something to do with your interest in spectator sports. I'm talking about what you were just doing: watching television.

i thru my tv out my room the otherday but rarely watch it now anyway. I can see how it all works now and cant even listen to the news on the radio because i can see how they word things to make things sound how they want, whoever writes there scripts has been in sales a looong time!

I don't even turn on my TV or even watch the damn thing! I only use, when I play my Nintendo Wii and video game consoles. Also watching my favorite movies. I have my own Flat TV with built-in DVD player. I don't even touch it when not in use.

I agree. I haven't watched broadcast TV or cable in almost four years and I have never been so in control of my thoughts and imagination! I would definitely advise not watching it at all, but the news is worth peeking at like you mentioned.

I can proudly say that when my son was asked about watching TV, by his doctor... he replied,, yes about 12 times this year and that was Dr Who...

2 years ago i only watched it for the news. Then i stopped completely, because i went for a few weeks without, it and when i put it back on, it literally felt like my brain was being fried. That just proved to me what the fucker does to you.
So never again!! I get all my news off the Internet now.

Well... have you ever noticed the frequencies that happen when a TV is turned on? You know it's on without even looking... the different colours produce different frequencies too. Really bright colours amplify it (colours like white, yellow etc...) and if you notice, just look at how BRIGHT the colours are in the programmes now!!
Bright colours amplifying frequencies with FAST edits, SHIT emotionless music and pointless content... i'm not surprised really that it programs and fried the human brain.

As I said before, we don't watch TV at all in our house.
Recently we went on a mini-vacation, and stayed at a nice hotel which had a television. Our two kids asked if they could watch it, my wife looked at me and I said "A little bit won't hurt them, we are on vacation."
I was an idiot to think this.
Fortunately there was a classic cartoon station, and we turned on a documentary for kids, that was showing 5 min snippets of old cartoons like Bambi. The other channel had some sort of horrid cartoon featuring a gross looking character picking it's nose, so the choice was easy.
I went into the hot-tub (a nice in-room hot-tub) while my wife unpacked. After an unknown amout of time, my relaxation was pierced by the shrieks of my children. It sounded like they were being mangled. My first thought was that one of them had somehow stuck a hand or something in the fold-out bed they were sitting on.
They had run into the main bedroom and were clenching my wife in deathgrip bearhugs. They were terrified of something they had seen on TV. I looked in and it was just the documentary, so I just turned it off. After they calmed down, they described a commercial which had disturbed them, apparently filled with deformed body parts including an eye that had teeth or somesuch.
Now I know that some of you are saying "It's just a commercial, your kids are pussies", but entertain this: Why would a network display imagry like that during a kid's show? And before you judge my children, think about how they had a perfectly normal reaction to terrifying and disturbing imagry. A thousand other kids prolly saw that commercial the same time mine did. How many screamed and got scared?
How many were already desensitized by TV and no longer have normal reactions to violence and dark disturbing images?
TV is why a whole crowd of people can watch a person being tortured for asking a simple question, and just watch.
Just watch, don't think...like TV.

then you hear a story of benign Aliens who want to help humanity or you hear about change of consciousness in 2012 ("done deal") or "all is an illusion, so do not worry" or some other New Age Masonic crap.
would you run towards that escape rather than dealing with horrors of wars, famine and pure evil in humans?
I think that chances are that majority of the people would do exactly that, run towards less violent "alternative" that is given to you.
internet has become the same tool of manipulation as television is, unless you can figure out what is B.S. what is good information. And if you look at how majority of the people understand the issues at hand it is clear that internet is perfect tool for delivery of ultimate "bread and circuses", for all beliefs systems. Many who browse the net are not much brighter than those who watch TV.
Like stated before -- Internet could be used to keep one in fear or keep him dumbed down just like TV would do.
Either way -- such brainwashed people who are using 2 different mediums miss NOW, they live in past or future, in surreal dreamland and fake reality and NOW is what counts, what should not be missed as our future is created in NOW.
those who are able to think for themselves are a small bunch nowadays, and this is reflected on the internet as well.
Many of those who browse the net are also plugged in TV and video games, so this is not a surprise.
the way i see it, the internet is just another medium that compliments television, for majority of the people.
a very few are able to get much of it, to learn about world and about themselves, maybe 1 % or so.
and, how can it be any other way, as those who are brought up with television and video games as the "reality" are unable to use something they never had -- thought processes, those same thought processes that were annihilated by television, just like thought processes of their parents were, although to a lesser degree.

yeah after spending alot of time high, and wondering about I found that whenever I went into a room where people were watching TV they were simply glued to it. Most of people where I am right now, are watching down right mindless garbage, or my favorite 'reality' TV. Now when I say favorite, I mean because its a hilarious thing to watch shitty actors trying to act like 'real' people on a show thats obviously fake. But yeah, TV is so not stimulating to the upper levels of the mind, its just low level trash/smut that keeps people entranced with there mouths open, so that they can sit for hours at a time without giving anything in their life any thought. In fact TV is so bad I often walk right back out of the room if its on. Pure garbage, even most movies Ive liked, turn out to be awful. I just cant watch or listen anymore, perverted shite. i watch the football, pro wrestling, or the religious channels and comedy channels (same thing). apart from that i cant be arsed with it.
id rather watch the likes of alex jones, icke, michael tsarion (im loving his stuff at the mo cos im new to watching him) and other related stuff.
this is sooooooooo much better than tv, cos we put our input into it and we create it.

I feel like that is true sometimes, like tv puts me in a trance/meditataive dream state. Sometimes when I'm watching somthing good that I'm really into it does help me into a very serene state of mind. Albiet a manipulated serene state of mind. Other times it feels like being maced. I'm started to get more and more disgusted with mainstream tv by the day. I feel like it's constantly disrespecting me and it feels like an invasion of privacy to my mind. I still like the local news though. I also like the movie channels because they are commercial free. Maybe I should just buy more Icke/healing dvd's and just use my tv for watching those.
It's true about this site. It kind of helps put everything in a less illusionary perspective for me. It's like when I leave this site and enter the "sheep world" it's like I get used to it really quickly. But then when I come back to the forum it's like "oh yeah, lots of other people get it too.":D

i know what ya mean about the news. i was in work (i work nights so nothings on except bbc news 24 really) watchin the news, and this woman says along the lines off "new studies have shown that people needing hospital attention are at greater risk of dying the further they have to travel. the risk is increased further if they have breathing difficulties"......how fuckin dumb are we meant to be now?? and when was the last time the news gave you a segment lasting more than 5mins and gave you a wide range of perspectives?
to me, the internet is the best place to be for your news and entertainment and a great way to get informed so you can make educated choices and decisions.

TV in general isn't blinding our third eyes.
The content of many mainstream Programs on TV are what's doing it.
If you go to like.. CNN.com.. then yes.. you could be blinding your own third eye.
Just because some people who make the news reporters out to be gospel preachers.
It's bull, but there are good TV shows out there.

When I think of all those wasted hours spent watching tv - when I did not
have a life or a passion for the truth! Now if I watch an hour a week
it's lot! I'd rather be learning something on the forum that watch
someone's else's 'life'.
I used to Identify with tv - how sad!
Here is S.A. I don't think we have as many channels as the Us or Uk but I
am sure they are trying. When kids return home from school the one day
I counted at least 8 channles showing Cartoons - I am sure this number is
laughable overseas - when do kids get time to finish homework if they are
so distracted?
We have a no-tv night on Mondays so we play games or chat.
My husband likes sport - so while he watches sport I surf the net.
I just happened to be watching an 'entertainment' show about Hollywood
(Hollyweird) and why do we actually give a toss about these people?
They are so fake - and we - well used to - hero worship them.
I mean who wants to follow Britney into a clothing shop to see that
she is buying clothes for her kids? I mean who cares? But I understand
this is a big hollywood machine and everyone is making money out of it!
They are all so fake and shallow. "I want to be famous but I dont want
