Hi there, read the thread where you vented your frustration but unable to reply in the thread itself as it is locked. Just thought I'd add 2c.

If there's a lot of pent up frustration we can become physically ill in the end. On the other hand we can make that frustration work for us, as no feelings are ever 'pointless' or insignificant. I was wondering if there is the option around where you live, to take up boxing. In the thread adimon mentioned running, however we all have different 'types' of basic energy - some excell at endurance, some not.

By channeling the frustration into something constructive like boxing, sparring in controlled circumstances, you are not repressing your frustration/feelings but making them work to your advantage. If strong feelings are repressed they some times are turned inwards and become depression, as if we're not entitled to feel what we feel.

In a sport like boxing most people are actually very peaceful :) (Look at Cassius Clay/M Ali, not Tyson, lol) By getting rid of excess energy in the body, learning how to fight in an intelligent way, be in command of the own reflexes and practising 'reading what's in front of you', another type of awareness is fostered. People who know how to fight often choose not to, because they know they could if they wanted to but have a choice. They also have a pretty good idea about the strength of their own anger and physical power, but are in full control of it. Often what scares people from letting something 'out' is not knowing if they can control themselves. Rage, anger, frustration can seem deadly, and people are then torn between respecting themselves and respecting other people - letting it out or keeping it bottled up.

To intellectually rationalise about feelings is one thing, see the bigger picture and how feelings can be sign of spiritual agendas, but in the practical life just thinking about it doesn't help the body much.

By making your 'stuff' work for you in a constructive way instead of being a 'burden' I think you'll find that concentration will improve as well, and so will the ability to see solutions to problems. If the body is a knot it's very hard to think, or get a break relaxing.

Just my 2c. Best wishes to you.
