The roads are an official nightmare today.

I nearly had an accident - twice - the car just went and suddenly I was at a 45 degree angle to the road.

Frightening.

I slipped on ice a few days ago. Didnt even get a chance to get my hands down. I whacked my head pretty good and am left with a nice bruise and the imprint of my hat on my forehead.
I want a set of these:

The wipers on my car are still frozen and the ice is too slippey to go out anyways. I am staying in and watching old Tom and Jerry cartoons on youtube.

Dont suppose youd be interested in hearing about the last couple of days in West Aust. Temperatures in the mid 20's, cool nights, today was in the high 20's to low 30's, buit warmer over the next couple of days.

I'm actually serious here, not just teasing. On the east coast their geting temps in the low to mid 40's, with 36 degree temps at midnight. In the 37 years I've been on this planet I have not known a summer as cool as this one.

I remember when I was a kid during the summer hols, wed have had at least half the days in the mid to hgih 30's, with chains of the old century mark (37 plus), if not higher than forty. Meanwhile the east coast was usually five to ten degrees cooler, as the never got the warm easterly winds coming in of the desert that the high pressure system blew into Perth.

I dont know enough meterology to know for certain, but there is a change coming.

Yeh dont pay attention to the weather, the worlds getting warmer!

Seen many accidents outside my house today, even one where a man in a van smashed into someones house! Not good.

Criminy guys! Be careful! Work isn't worth getting injured or worse. Losing a few days pay can always be dealt with. You're a strong and resourceful lot. Where I'm at we're having a short warming trend - probably akin to the temps in Gestaltdude's part of the world - but it's going to rain tomorrow. This still an unusually cold winter for all of us - an El Nino year.

Been fucking crazy where I live. Dealing with ice since about 19th December mains water frozen solid since the 24th and fresh snow last night. Looks like the Carbon Tax in Ireland has worked better than expected. Oh and I wrecked my car last week on the ice too going out to help a mate how a bust pipe in the house.

Just an update on my post of late last week.

No sooner had I posted than the temperature jumped something like ten degrrees during the day. The last couple of days have been past that old century mark I talked about, with stifling nights.

If I was paranoid I'd say that someone was monitoring these forums and has seen too many posts regarding unseasonal weather.:D

the only sconsolation I haver is that, being on the coast, its a couple of degrees cooler than town where my friends and family live. Also my boys love getting in and out of the bath, it's their idea of an indoor pool.
