hi,
maybe we have some germans here who also saw the time cover with our "beloved" angela merkel chancellor as "Mrs. Europe".
I think it is very symbolic and Mrs. Banana behaves like that and doesnt make good politics for germany but for europe (EU-treaty, etc.)
Also the german news the last days were not so good for Angie and they are totally right in saying she is just acting for being famous but not for being a real representative of the people.... why does angie the little prick have more power than any other leader on the european continent? is it because germany is not a state and under U.S. military control since the end of second worldwar? (watch up for german constitution, etc. german Grundgesetz is not a constitution, they only called it like that some day, but the german people did never vote for a constitution, so is germany a state?)
thoughts? analysis of the picture....? hornsign (left hand)?

I can't believe they created that page design with the M looking very much like horns ... rather centred on the head too!

Good eye, Ninny. Yeah, looks like devil's horns both over her head and she's making the hand sign.
She's got that sinister reptilian look IMO.

I see the satan hand, and then they made the M her horns (lol they have a sense of humor too). It's weird how she is holding her finger. That almost seems like a timid and unsure pose, but I do that with my hands too.
She looks kind of pretty, and oddly enough, she looks like she could be a relative of mine. She kind of reminds me of myself in a weird way.
But I know nothing of German politics, let alone the full extent of the American ones, so there is not much else I can say about that.

There is a medieval painting in the bottom right corner.
The author of the story is Catherine Mayer:
"Catherine Mayer is London Bureau Chief for Time Magazine and former President of the Foreign Press Association in London. She is a writer and broadcaster, and lives in London with her husband, Andy Gill, cult guitarist and Gang of Four founder member.
She is also godmother to Heavenly Hiraani Tiger Lily Hutchence Geldof, the daughter of Paula Yates and Michael Hutchence."

well something you should know. she was with "you" with george w. bush junior. only google some pics. she behaves like a little girl. i really cant believe but there is no doubt she is in something. we germans can see it in politics. everything that is important she doesnt want to talk about only some stupid points. the speech for the year 2010 she says it will become all more complicated but she has no solutions. thats what she is. no solutions but dumb public relation speeches... nothing against women. but i think she is slave of something... she does no politics she is only there... and shuts up if necessary. for example the question of a netherland journalist about some money affairs of past politicians (and why she let them in politics in again; Mr. Schaeuble:
Merkel zu Finanzminister Schäuble und den 100.000 D-Mark - YouTube
he was the only couraged journalist to ask the question why mr. schaeuble should manage the money of germany although he has "blood on his hands"
she does almost ignore it. she trusts him and that was the answer...

i think the M can be used for a purpose but also can not have a meaning. depends on....
they can place every head under the TIME, but they dont...
imagine only the question you can ask a freemason about: what is your age or how late is it...
the question about TIME can be deep or simply an answer about how late it is and how old you are...
there is no time or i am 200 years old...

I agree. However, they spend big dollars on image, public relations, subliminals etc. Real or not, a "horned" being (allegedly not human) probably imprints an archetypal and unconscious fear, with an attempt to invoke submission.

I see the horns and the hand sign.
The horns are amazing, may be a play on anti-German feelings, or that she's sold her soul or...
Merkel's people are pretty image-conscious after previous slip-ups and satire.
German anger at 'bare-breasted' Merkel image in Poland
27 June 2007, 18:23 CET
— filed under: Eastern and Central Europe, Media, Poland, Germany, Institutions, European Council
(BERLIN) - German politicians on Wednesday condemned as "tasteless" a mocked-up photo on the cover of a Polish magazine of Poland's ruling twin brothers sucking German Chancellor Angela Merkel's bare breasts.
The spoof image in the right-wing weekly Wprost of Merkel suckling Polish Prime Minister Jaroslaw Kaczynski and President Lech Kaczynski marked a fresh escalation in the sniping between the neighbours.
Tension between the two countries had been building up even before last week's European Union summit in Brussels.
But although German Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier said the Merkel image was "tasteless", he tried to calm the waters.

The photo session of Angela Merkel on a fishing holiday with her husband Joachim Sauer was announced at the very last minute. French photo-journalist Laurence Chaperon was commissioned to photograph her for the popular Sunday tabloid Bild am Sonntag. The story looked at "Angela Merkel's private world."
But it all ended up looking a tad too private for the taste of Merkel's campaign managers. Dressed in an unflattering baggy striped shirt, elastic-waist leisure pants and sneakers from a chain department store, while standing next to an enormous dead fish, Germany's highest-ranking female politician is barely recognizable as the same person seen smiling sophisticatedly on the glossy campaign posters.

Angela Merkel
Date of birth: Jul 17, 1954
Angela Merkel is the current Chancellor of Germany and the head of the political party CDU in Germany. In addition to being the first female German Chanchellor, she is also considered by Forbes magazine to be the most powerful woman in the world.
She also wrote a quantum-physics sounding book:
Vibrational Properties of Surface Hydroxyls: Nonempirical Model Calculations Including Anharmonicities
http://www.freebase.com/view/en/angela_merkel
And here's the BBC's write-up of her:
"German voters aren't stupid - they don't want a Britney Spears as the chancellor of Germany, they want a serious leader whom they can trust. Merkel knows what she's doing."
She has certainly impressed Germans, scoring approval ratings of 60% in the lead-up to the 27 September, 2009 election.
Break with tradition
As a Protestant east German woman Angela Merkel, 55, broke the leadership mould of the Christian Democrats (CDU), traditionally dominated by Catholic west German men.
She had also been divorced - though she kept her first husband's surname - and, in the "party of the family", had no children.

you are spot on.
The Germans now hold sway over Europe, and Merkel is a driving force.
She probably liked the horns, to go with all their other European symbolism (the unfinished tower, the stars ect)
Is there a reliable source for her history ( just to check the claim she was cloned from a past dictator of europe)
