I don't think that was a meteor.....
Local health department official Jorge Lopez said, after the incident, residents complained of headaches and vomiting brought by a "strange odor."
It was a contaner with a load from the lavatory of the Russian Progress M-60 cargo spacecraft which was droped a week ago... but didn't burn in the atmosphere...
Sorry, Peruvians... :o

Progress M-60 to serve science before burning up in atmosphere
17/ 09/ 2007
The freighter will spend five days in independent flight before leaving orbit and starting a fiery decent through the Earth's atmosphere.
"The Progress M-60 spacecraft will be undocked from the ISS at 4:37 a.m. Moscow time (0:37 a.m. GMT) on September 19, but will not leave orbit immediately, and will become a temporary research lab," the official said.
The parts of the vehicle that do not completely burn up during the decent will sink in the Pacific Ocean on September 25 in the so-called "spaceship cemetery" not far from Christmas Island, where the Mir station was "buried" in 2000.

It has been said that Peru has been the centre of a lot of ufo activity over the last century because of it being a important vortex area to other realms..
Apparently tptb want to close this vortex, hence induced earthquakes and fake meteorites happening all over the place.

Getting us ready for the 'Fake Alien Invasion"?
It's possible.
How to prepare for alien invasion
"Taylor and Boan started thinking about how to respond to an aggressive extraterrestrial attack during a 2001 discussion about defending against terrorist attacks.
One thing that popped into my mind was that the only way Americans would be in an asymmetric war on the other side would be if we were attacked by aliens. Everyone chuckled, but then after a minute the comments started setting in," Taylor said.
"Then we really got to talking about it and we thought, well, you know, we really might need this contingency plan anyway."
Failure to prepare may mean humankind will have to dig in and fight with improvised weapons and hit-and-run tactics, much the same way Islamic extremists have battled the US military in Iraq, Taylor believes.
"You'd have to create an insurgency, a mujahideen-type resistance," Taylor said. - Reuters

SAN FRANCISCO (Reuters) - When the aliens finally invade Earth, you may wish you had listened to Travis Taylor and Bob Boan.
And if the invasion follows the plot of a typical Hollywood blockbuster, they might also be the guys called in at the last minute to save the day.
After all, they have written "An Introduction to Planetary Defense", a primer on how humanity can defend itself if little green men wielding death rays show up at our cosmic doorstep.

From the above article...
Taylor and Boan are hardly basement-dwelling paranoids obsessed with tinfoil hats and Area 51. Taylor holds advanced degrees in astronomy and physics, and is an associate at consulting firm Booz Allen Hamilton. He and Boan have done consulting work for the Defense Department and the U.S. space agency NASA.

Bio of Travis Shane Taylor
Taylor grew up in rural North Alabama, but details of his early life and education are not part of his public biography. He has stated that he worked for 16 plus years for the United States Department of Defense, the National Aeronautics and Space Administration, and contractors of those organizations on "various programs", although a detailed resume is not available. Currently, he is working on space propulsion techniques which he personally describes as "advanced". He is also working on "very large telescopes", space-based beamed energy systems, future combat technologies and systems and next generation space launch concepts.
His academic professional production includes the following:
Rewriteable magneto-optic compact disk based optical processor: a thesis (1994); Laboratory simulation of atmospheric turbulence induced optical wavefront distortion : a dissertation (1999); Advanced solar and laser sail propulsion concepts for interstellar space travel : a thesis (2001),[2] No citation is available for any publications resulting from his Master's degree in Astronomy.
