Kate Gosselin denies Mady water - YouTube

Not that these people need any more publicity, but there are repeating ques in the OVERLY exposed lives of the Gosselins that suggest to me that this "bad parenting" looks more like TBMC.
The clip above is Kate denying her child a sip of water and instead drinks it right in front of her.
It is not revelation that reality tv is filled with MK victims but this seems a bit over the top.

I did a search for this before I posted it but didn't find anything. Apologies if it has already been covered.

Could it be at all possible that she's just selfish? That's pretty rampant in reality tv as well?

that certainly is the image she portrays for the cameras.

maybe not that far removed from reality

I used to watch that show and always thought Kate Gosselin was an overbearing, controlling bitch. John used to appear like such a wimp, he would take it, her insulting him and controlling everything. It was painful to watch sometimes. No wonder he wanted out of that marriage. I don't blame him.

It's news to me that reality TV (which I disdain with a passion and avoid at all costs) is filled with MK victims.

I suppose that makes sense as one does wonder 'where the heck do they get all these willing people to make asses of themselves for the world to see?"

Denying water is part of programming - so yup, this is a quite telling.

YouTube - Broadcast Yourself.

This is a pretty good overview of MK themes in reality shows. Since viewing this, I have to say that I have taken notice to it. I was trying to find the one showing the Top Model and Make me a Supermodel clips, but have had no luck.

I read in People magazine that one of the 9 year old twins is dating boys. It won't be long before Kate will be a young granny.

I always thought it was odd that Kate's parents weren't around. The "official" cover story of the reason why they were no longer on speaking terms was that Kate refused a gift of cribs from some donors for some shallow reason (they didn't match?") and that made her father angry enough to cut off all contact. Also, Kate is clearly mentally ill, she at the very least has OCD. The ongoing drama that was the show was clearly abusive to the children, especially the twins.

Also, there are a lot of controls in place in IVF to ensure that women don't end up with large "litters" anymore. Anyone who ends up impregnated with more than 2-3, you can be assured that more than likely it was purposeful. I do not believe that in this case or in the case of the "Octomom" that the mother actually carried and birthed the entire set, that there were surrogates involved. It is just exceedingly unlikely that anyone can carry and birth 6-8 children, have them all survive, and have them all be apparently healthy with no disabilities. Especially not after being so impaired/unhealthy that they were infertile to begin with. These women are being used as some type of breeder function, MK of the children and the parents is very likely.

The reason why these women end up with "large litters" is that they are choosing artificial insemination to get pregnant. This proceedure fertilizes several eggs at the same time with the understanding that only one will end up as a baby. Too often multiple embrios result and since these women do not believe in selective abortion, they soon find themselves with a "large litter".

It would make more sense that if these women are having such a hard time getting pregnant why don't they choose adoption instead. I hear all the excuses such as it costs too much and there is too much paperwork involved to adopt a baby overseas. When you think of it, in the end many times these families spend the same amount of money on artsem as they would have on an adoption. As for the real reason why these families scoff at adoption is that deep down inside many of them cannot love a child who is not of their own flesh and blood.

Thanks, I read some background on the Gosselins and I see they did not use IVF, but rather used drug/IUI combination. I guess if some one is given drugs, then it is sort of out of the doctor's hands at that point, no matter if there is IUI or if the couple goes home and has sex. I still find the apparent health, lack of disability, and normal development timeline of all 6 of the sextuplets to be very suspicious. And the way Kate shows favoritism toward the sextuplet girls over the twins and the boys is pretty suspicious as well. And Nadya Suleman is fairly obviously just a breeding slave, who knows who owns/controls her or her children.

I guess I am for people having their own kids or adopting, whatever they want, even if they have to spend money and use technology to have their own. I am against the unnatural nature of these large sets though. They are dangerous and don't give the individual kids the best start in life or the opportunity to thrive. I agree with you, just adopt and get on with life.

Back in 1997 there was the Mccoffy family in Iowa who wanted a second child. Since the mother could not conceive, they chose Artsem. When they found out there were 7 fetus', they were asked about selective abortion, but since they were christian, they immediately said no way. So now they are raising 8 children. There was a recent article on the family in People magazine. The mother looked really tired even thought she is not really that old.

I agree with you. How can a family give each individual child the best start in life when they are part of a "large litter".
