Apologies if some of you already saw this show, but I caught it last night.....I have just watched it with my girlfriend and am incensed at the downright lies,propaganda and presentation on the whole subject....Truly staggering...The BBC really are one sinister organisation.....
Does anyone know who is being held in Guantanamo Bay and what they are in there for? This isn't addressed once in the show......
I had always thought Portillo was a good guy also but he really shows his true colours here.....
I urge you to watch, It saddens me so much to see such injustice and evil in the world....

I'm watching it now Frase, agree with you, it's sickening. The bit about the hunger strikers being forcefed, oh, but they should be grateful according to some dipshit from the US Congress, they can have chocolate flavoured food, anything they like! They are trying to KILL themselves, end the suffering because of this torture. It's horrible. The guards are obviously sick people, how could you not be.

I'm watching it now Frase, agree with you, it's sickening. First problem i think of is, how the hell is america allowed to have a prison camp in another country and no one points this out??

As far as i'm aware everyone at guantanamo and those released, have never had a charge against them excepet SUSPECTED terrorist!!!

The Guard yeah. He stared at Portillo for about 3 secs, "I'm sorry was that a question?" That seriously disturbed me. Not a nice guy. The new prisoner officer at the end with the stutter. Maybe he's just got a stutter, maybe he's hiding something, pschologically disturbed, whatever, the programme was a deliberate, and sinister propaganda piece. It's depressingly clear what the agenda is and what will happen in these coming months. It's all futile though... the brainwashed masses will not see it.

i have recently just finished watching a BBC thre parter from 200(6?) called 'the power of nightmares' and although it doesn't delve into the concept of 11SEP01 being a self-inflicted 'wound' it does highlight a lot of the terror surrounding the neo-conservatists... i downloaded it off bitTorrent.

- agree with previous poster; these things are designed to provoke angry responses, for as long as we're hooked into their destabilising agenda, we're yet pawns in their ambitions.

- admittedly i was very anti-america, but after realising that they are just people who inhabit this earth like the rest of us, manipulated to the nth degree by the very same people who manipulate us to the nth degree; i.e. the ruling elite it makes it easier to not be angry at them, as a nation.

Actually Cuba don't have much say in this. They have been under sanctions from the US for about 50 years. They have done the only thing they can, and that is to refuse the rent being offered for using Gauntanamo.
