The Seventh Chakra

Each chakra is responsible for the health of a particular section or system of the physical body. The seventh chakra controls the cerebral cortex, head and upper spine.

It's glandular counterpart is the pineal.

The seventh chakra function concerns spiritual connection. It's located at the top of the head and is called the "crown chakra". It's Sanskrit name is "Sahasrara" which means "thousand petaled lotus".

The 7th chakra activation takes place between the ages of 43 to 49 and can be re-learned at a higher octave between the ages of 92 to 98.

The seventh chakra is the power of consciousness.

This is the crowning point of the chakra system. If we manage to open this center during our lives, we have reached the highest state of consciousness one can obtain - where we have actually elevated our consciousness - personal will - through the bodies of the physical (1st to 3rd charkas), emotional (4th chakra), mental (5th), intuitive (6th) and now, finally the causal (7th), Divine Will for our life.

This is the center of enlightenment, alignment with the Universal Self - realizing divine reality in our lives. Until one has opened their crown charka, one views themself in their multiplicity - one is still differentiating themself from the "All". The final step is merging one's energy field with the Universal Energy Field (at this point Kundalini will be activated) through the 7th chakra center.

Whatever we have understood intellectually, and later intuitively up to this point, will reach a whole new level of comprehension when this center is working at full capacity. The awareness given to us by the seventh chakra goes far beyond the knowledge given by the 6th or intiuitive chakra, for here, at the seventh, we are no longer separated from the object of our perception.

In Tantra, the awakening of the crown chakra (the last one to be awakened so the highest level of spiritual perfection) corresponds to the union of "Shakti" (the feminine principle) with "Shiva" (the masculine principle). Once this union is formed it lasts forever.

By achieving this level of consciousness - one goes beyond the state of choosing unconsciously and becomes conscious of the always unchanging eternal present - the Mystery Monitor within - and the connection with all through our personal, Divine Fragment.

Here we are connected with the level of Being which contains all non-manifest forms and characteristics. From here we began our journey into life and to this place we will return at the end of our human personality development. The seventh chakra connects us to our spiritual nature and if we allow it's unfolding, it becomes integrated into our physical life and guides us according to God's Will. We are living God's Will in our life.

The seventh chakra is the source and center - the starting point for the manifestation of all other chakra energies. It is the entry point for the human life-force which pours endlessly into the human energy system from God. This is the force that nourishes and heals the body, mind and spirit. It distributes itself throughout the physical body and the lower six chakras - connecting the entire system at the seventh chakra. It is always present in our physical vehicles - but it must wait patiently for us to do the work of becoming fully conscious.

The purpose of opening and aligning the seventh chakra is to seek direct communion with Spirit. It is where perfection exists in our imperfect state.

The seventh chakra contains the energy that generates devotion, inspired and prophetic thoughts, transcendent ideas, and mystical connection. This is where the counter effects of retrogressive evolution caused by the Lucifer Rebellion, can occur and be re-balanced individual by individual.

In the education of a human soul, true soul advancement takes place through the channeling of divine thought-forms which move an individual soul beyond the consiousness of limitation of being earthbound. The seventh chakra is where we can truly co-create with God and transcend into the promise of a new life while still in the flesh.

The seventh chakra represents a sense of oneness with all creation; transcendence; higher mind. It unites 6th chakra mind, clarity; 5th chakra will; 4th chakra love; 3rd chakra self power; 2nd chakra relationship with others; and 1st chakra tribe.

When the seventh chakra unfolds and opens, any blockages remaining in the other six dissolve and their energies begin to vibrate at their highest possible frequencies. Each chakra then works as a mirror of the Divine Being at it's own particular level, and expresses the highest potential it is capable of. As soon as the crown chakra is completely awakened, it's task of absorbing cosmic energies comes to an end and it begins to radiate energy on it's own accord.

The Harmonious Functioning of the Seventh Chakra (Open)

There are no blockages in the seventh chakra. It can only be developed. Any blockages to reaching seventh stage enlightenment, occur in the other six centers.

Consciousness becomes calm and open and is expressed as communion with the higher self.

The moments of enlightenment leading up to union occur with more frequency until they become a permanent reality. One feels as if they are awakening from a dream. Thoughts of separation from the One and All and from other people, recede. One feels like an empty vessel in which the Divine pours unconditional love without end. This love is then poured into the world via the individual and unique personality and physical vehicle. One translates activation from the Divine into action in one's world.

One begins to realize that matter is nothing but form and thought centered in Divine Consciousness is true reality. All other thought is non-real - only a worldly illusion.

During the years in which one is actively working to open the crown chakra, a whole new depth and insight into wholeness can be developed and experienced directly.

There is a constant feeling of at-one-ment with the Divine Spark that indwells us.

The Characteristics of a mostly Closed Chakra

This chakra center cannot be too opened. As we have seen - up to this point the opening and harmonizing of all the chakras provide us with a great deal of knowledge, experience and skills. Without an open and functioning crown chakra, however, we feel separated from wholeness and abundance and are not completely free of fear.

If the chakras are not able to unfold their complete range of possibilities to our life, the individual energies will not vibrate in complete harmony with the "dance of creation" or with each other. One will feel uncertain and lack full purpose and direction.

If one stays stuck in a life of superficiality and limitation, the higher self of the individual will not fully develop to full capacity during this lifetime.

Seventh Chakra Issues

Seeking a personal spiritual connection can shake one to their very core.

As Carolyn Myss states in "Anatomy of the Spirit"

"In seeking union with the Divine, we are asking to have all physical, psychological, and emotional "illusion" removed from our lives. Once this process of removal begins, we awaken an internal voice of authority in our lives which can throw us into internal turmoil...."

The Seventh Adjutant Mind Spirit - Paper 36 of the Urantia Papers

"The spirit of wisdom - the inherent tendency of all moral creatures towards orderly and progressive evolutionary advancement. This is the highest of the adjutants, the spirit co-ordinator and articulator of the work of all the others. This spirit is the secret of that inborn urge of mind creatures which initiates and maintains the practical and effective program of the ascending scale of existence; that gift of living things which accounts for their inexplicable ability to survive and, in survival, to utilize the co-ordination of all their past experience and present opportunities for the acquisition of all of everything that all of the six mental ministers can mobilize in the mind of the organism concerned. Wisdom is the acme of intellectual performance. Wisdom is the goal of a purely mental and moral existence."

The Seventh Planetary Epoch - Paper 50 of the Urantia Papers

"The era of light and life. This is the flowering of the successive ages of physical security, intellectual expansion, social culture, and spiritual achievement. These human accomplishments are now blended, associated, and co-ordinated in cosmic unity and unselfish service. Within the limitations of finite nature and material endowments there are no bounds set upon the possibilities of evolutionary attainment by the advancing generations who successively live upon these supernal and settled worlds of time and space."

The First Psychic Circle - Paper 110

"The first circle. The Adjuster cannot, ordinarily, speak directly and immediately with you until you attain the first and final circle of progressive mortal achievement. This level represents the highest possible realization of mind-Adjuster relationship in the human experience prior to the liberation of the evolving morontia soul from the habiliments of the material body. Concerning mind, emotions and cosmic insight, this achievement of the first psychic circle is the nearest possible approach of material mind and spirit Adjuster in human experience."

The Sanskrit name for the 7th chakra is "Sahasrara", meaning "thousandfold." The 7th chakra is represented by a 1000-petaled lotus, which symbolizes the infinite nature of this chakra, connecting us with the Divine.

The 7th chakra is located at the crown of the head and serves as the crown of the entire chakra system, symbolizing the highest state of enlightenment. The function of the 7th chakra is connection with the infinite. In art, Christ is depicted with a halo around his head. This could represent the awakened spirituality of the 7th chakra.

The element of the 7th chakra is thought/cosmic consciousness. The mind creates our belief systems that control our thoughts and actions.

Gland/part of body associated with the 7th chakra:

Pineal gland, upper brain
The 7th chakra is sometimes associated with the color violet, but it is usually referred to as the color white, a combination of all colors. This is in line with the chakra also being a culmination of all the other chakras.

Excessiveness in the 7th chakra appears as being overly intellectual.

Deficient energy manifests as difficulty thinking for yourself, apathy, spiritual skepticism and materialism.

Meditation is the yogic practice best for the 7th chakra. Meditation clears and quiets the mind, in preparation for experiencing the Divine.

Seventh Chakra

The seventh chakra: "the crown chakra", located at the top of the head. This is related to one's personal spiritual connection to the universe. Blockage manifests as psychological problems.

Meaning, Plane, Effects of Meditation

The thousand petalled lotus, which represents the plane of truth and reality, is like an umbrella of petals with all the colors of the rainbow, and the yogi identifies Self as the guru within.

Planes:

Radiation: Light, fire, or sight in it's finest essence. The yogi becomes illuminated like the sun. His aura of light is continually radiant.

Primal Vibrations: Om is the first sound, continuing infinitely. Here the frequency of AUM becomes manifest within the yogi.

Gaseous Plane: The yogi attains supremacy over prana, which becomes so subtle that all of the prana (life force) within his body is said to be thumb-sized; if one were to bring a piece of glass in front of the yogi's nose, no condensation would deposit on it (haole, ha a`ole--no breath)

Plane of Positive Intellect: All value judgments or dualistic perceptions must be balanced, or negative intellect, the negation of the divine, may arise within the mind.

Happiness: Arises when a proper balance in body, psyche, and mind is established.

Laziness: May occur when the yogi attains a state of bliss, only to stop all action: when he goes into a state of “Samadhi”, the physical body becomes totally inactive.

Effects of Meditation:

Immortality is attained within Sahasrara Chakra. Before attaining this chakra the yogi is unable to reach the unconscious-conscious state called “asama-prajnata-samadhi”. In this state there is no activity of the mind and no knower, no knowledge, nothing to be known: knowledge, knower, and known all become unified and liberated.

Samahdi is the pure bliss of total inactivity. Up to the sixth chakra the yogi may enter a trance in which activity or form still remains within the consciousness. In Sahasrara Chakra the prana moves upward and reaches the highest point. The mind establishes itself in the pure void of Shunya Mandala, the space between the two hemispheres. At this time all feelings, emotions, and desires which are the activities of the mind, are dissolved into their primary cause. The union is achieved. The yogi is “sat-chit-ananda”, truth-being-bliss. He is his own real self, and as long as he stays in his physical body, he retains non-dual consciousness, enjoying the play of “lila”, the temporal world, without becoming troubled by pleasure and pain, honors and humiliations.

When the Kundalini is raised up to Sahasrara Chakra, the illusion of "individual self" is dissolved. The yogi becomes realized, one with the cosmic principles that govern the entire universe within the body. He obtains all “siddhis”, powers, up to Soma Chakra, where he encounters Kamadhenu, the wish-fulfilling cow within himself. He is a “siddha”, but has transcended the desire to manifest those wishes.

According to the “shastras”, Sahasrara is the seat of the self-luminescent soul, or “chitta”, the essence of being. Here, chitta is like a screen upon which the reflection of the cosmic Self is seen, and through it the divine is reflected. In the presence of the cosmic Self it is possible for anyone to feel the divine and indeed to realize the divinity within himself.

Thought, Universal identity, oriented to self-knowledge. This is the crown chakra that relates to consciousness as pure awareness. It is our connection to the greater world beyond, to a timeless, spaceless place of all-knowing. When developed, this chakra brings us knowledge, wisdom, understanding, spiritual connection, and bliss. Spirit.

Lives in an Extended State of Consciousness and Attains Enlightenment.

Known as: Crown Chakra, Sehasara, Sahastrar

Sahasrara = thousand spoked, thousand-petalled.

Location: Top of the Head.

Colors: Violet, white

Element: Cosmic kingdom = THE SOURCE

Attributes: Kundalini Shakti rises up the spinal column to unite with Shiva here. One understands Non-Duality, Governs connection to cosmic consciousness ,spiritual, wisdom aspirations knowledge of truth.

Deities: The GURU Within.

Symbol: One Thousand Rainbow Colored Petals.

Mantra: Each of the 50 Sanskrit Letters Repeat on the Petals.

I've seen my 7th and what an amazing beautiful sight too.
Those pics are very basic and don't do the 7th any justice.
infact I've yet so see an accurate pic of the 7th yet, it can't be put into words and would take a very talented artist to try and copy what the real thing looks like. :)

I have been looking into ways to tap into your chakra

you seem to know abit about it. and i would encourage others to offer insight

Chakra confuses me in these ways: As illustrated by that real time picture
----How would you possibly know you have activated certain Chakras----

How would you go about doing this

Chakras 1-3.. bodily chakras...these control Power? Force? Conditioning of the body?

so many questions

Edit - Above poster. "Ive seen my 7th chakra" What the HELL Does that mean
Im sorry im not gonna come in here with all this.. love and well being nonsense
i want hard evidence and/or Knowledge.
Not this oh you too can see what i see BS

It's exactly as I said I have seen and experienced. Look if you're serious I'll try put a decent reply together soon.

All I can say for now is you have to do this yourself, no one can do this for you! Visualise the 7 chakras/colours from bottom to top to start with then visualise them spinning in a clockwise direction from top to bottom again. with practice they become more visible.

This part from synergys post is the best visual explanation, although I have seen white light and gold on other occasions........The thousand petalled lotus, which represents the plane of truth and reality, is like an umbrella of petals with all the colors of the rainbow, and the yogi identifies Self as the guru within.

synergy777 why post this half religious crap? I don't say your attentions are bad but people need to find out for them self such things but not from this religions concepts witch just mix truth with dogma and other shit to confuse people. My "crown chakra" got activated when i was 14 first time so it does not take place between ages 43 to 49.

-This is the crowning point of the chakra system. If we manage to open this center during our lives, we have reached the highest state of consciousness one can obtain -

It was highest state i obtained but i am not all knowing even thought i realized many wonderful things so i am sure there are higher states and ultimate knowledge.

- Universal Energy Field (at this point Kundalini will be activated) through the 7th chakra center.-

It is not kundali energy. I to be honest don't know what it is accept that is some kind of energy. But kundali is connected to all this serpent cult that has gonna trough all religions and this has nothing to do with serpents what so ever. So in other words just more religious nonsense.(its pure energy not serpent energy)

Anyway just gave a quick look to rest and it seem to be correct just wanted to point out to some mistakes that arise from religion and not truth. Good post

One knows that he activated it because an energy goes trough u same as electricity would. Its just blissfully and wonderful instead of painfull. As it rises to top of your head and opens thought your whole brain it activates it in its entirety and u have awakening. Awakening is literary same as u wake up every morning from bed, just this time u awake from this state u think u are awake already. Thus coming to realization u have been dreaming your whole life. Many more wonderfull things happen witch are quite good described in post including contact with great spirit and great knowledge.

As for that picture its wrong concept. It comes from left and right side of your chest (or at lest thats where u fell it first) that 2 waves of energy combine in your troth and from there on in form of upside-down root hit top of your skull(crown chakra). Then it Open trough your whole brain and activates it. And btw yes we can fell in brain, science is wrong when they says we cant fell nothing in brain for one clearly fells this energy arising.

I was going to say the same about the age thing too lol, that's the first time I've come across that before in any texts.

Kundalini is an okay word, it's just symbolic of the energy seen as a coiled serpent at the base of the spine base chakra,( shakti goddess female energy) when it travels up through the other chakras it uncoils itself much like a snake. To be one with the male energy ( shiva God) which in turn creates the thrid force which is the connection to the divine ( God eternal conciuosness what ever word you prefer to use)

See as far as I know the earliest recorded history of this kundalini energy and chakra system originated in India with the Hindu Vedic texts.

It's the intent we know satanic type black magick rituals can be used for perverting kundalini energies. This is what Crowley's sex magick rituals revolved around to name just one of many.

Of course with positive intent it can be used for good, healing etc
you can work alone with chakras, with groups of people or with a sexual partner these are the main themes
