Are we living in a mass surveillance britian were the only thing that matters to the authorities is who is keeping a look out on someone else. Living in Britian is becoming so unpleasant as the media constantly strive to strike fear into the minds of the population. Each supermarket and high street you go to, you will find either a cctv camera pointing in your face or a plain clothes security guard keeping visual on you! The majority of jobs which are plainly easy to get are security and police or public service jobs, with the sole aim of increasing the watchful eye of bigbrother. Also most people are so conditioned in being watched, that they dont care and wouldnt even mind having a camera in their local neighbourhood! Having worked in retail , I have seen how customers fall for their basic desires and decide to steal! I dont really moan like this, but we live in a society without basic values of trust!
