The wife of Liverpool and England football player Steven Gerrard is the face promoting this piece of 'exercise' equipment, which looks like a vibrating dildo.
The PTB seem to be cranking up society to become ever more sex obsessed. They will probably give them to schoolchildren soon and use obesity as an excuse.

You can get fit without using stupid exercise equipment like this, this is just a big waste of money, new exercise equipment comes out every year that does the same old stuff.
Consumerism make me sick, people are constantly being brainwashed into buying utter garbage.

I seen this on the tele the other day when I walked by and was like who the fk would buy this if this wasn't promoted. Of course who I seen promoting it was Ellen D. I was just thinking of course she got paid lots of $ to get this discusting item out in the public at large. Just look at at and look at what is being done with it and the motion. Pretty soon that motion will be "normal" to do anywhere and why stop at the frekin item is the idea. Oversexualization. I was thinking if this wasn't promoted big time it would have been straight up banned but somehow they got around this.
Why?

Not your comment, or you!
I aimed my comment at the product itself, and its intent to go into households and give a sexual connotation to any bystanders or end-users

cool.
It is again interesting that it is being moddled by an architypically pretty girl who is has a kinda the girl next door look, not too classy, not to slutty, not to plain - very middle of the road imagery going on. And of course the adverising is aimed at a specific, middle of the road market: day time TV advertising, young mums maybe who are at home with the tv on, a little spare time and spare cash who find it appealing (to both their social circle and as a placebo effect) to buy and not use ;)
Just more medeocracy for the masses.

I don't see how that could tone anyone's arms ...
maybe if you can't curl 20 pounds?

A friend of mine has a bycycle inner tube that she uses to curl with. She folds it in two and while sitting in a chair she loops it under her thigh and curls with it, changing it over to the other leg / arm after 15 or so reps. and it works real well, she's been doing it for a few weeks and already she has toned her arm and shoulder muscles. It cost her like £5 and she can take it anyplace in her handbag and uses it everyday to great effect.
Her method shows that there is no need to go to great expense.

I'd rather them sell bicycle inner-tubes all day long! :)

Not so good if the inner tube snaps and whaps ya eye out tho lol
You can just hear the insurance claim investigator, 'And what were you using the inner tube for when the accident happened madam....?'
i recon they last a good while tho, definately longer than these gadgets, i imagine they'd be gathering dust under the bed in less that a month;)

(You can make the 'wanking' hand-gesture for free, btw...no need to pay anything! :p ;) )

When I used to be a youth, many moons ago, I was a county runner. Since I stopped running I have slowly put on a few pounds. I've always found it mindboggling how people look for celebrity endorsed miracle diets, exercises and pills. All you need to do to get fit and lose weight is stick on trainers and run till it hurts a bit. It isn't rocket science!

People - it's just another fad product.
It may actually help get to the small muscles that are not exercised by those who are not serious about a proper exercise regime.
It'll be gone in 6 months.
It's not sexual unless you want it to be.
Comedians will always take the p out of these sort of products because they are battery operated and vibrate.

It is just a vibrating dumb bell, because it vibrates, it is now a sexual object.....LOL!!!!
Now who is programmed? The people that this alleged sexual symbolic device is aimed at....or the programmed individual that see sex in what is a vibrating DUMB bell:rolleyes:

And why is everyone saying it 'vibrates'?
This thing thrusts and wiggles and all kinds of stuff. Vibrate is not the right word.

That would probably work tho, for the 'light-weights' out there... considering it resembles a dumbbell weight & it doesn't vibrate, guess tis people like this, that sexualize it...

Who she kidding! - we know what she's been up to! :p
Over-all, there's a good solid chance there's undertows / hints @ sexual themes... yet it's most likely simply because unfortunately with so many weak minded people around, sex does sell... - which brings me to my next point, any free-minded, sovereign thinking individual will see this wont enhance your sexual appeal anymore than a session @ the gym or a jog along the beach... also, tis usually the sex-obsessed themselves, whom make such 'wild' connections, as the OP has... ;)

That coz I thought twas a really gay joke (pardon the pun)... :D
also, tis usually the sex-obsessed themselves, whom make such 'wild' connections, as the OP has... ;)
An example of this is; years & years ago I brought a electronic muscle stimulator - which is basically a battery powered pad ya rap round ya belly & it electronically stimulates muscles - thinking sweet this'll do me! sit on my chuff & work-out @ the same time... :D So I show this device to someone I knew - whom just so happened to be gay - & this guy was sorta skeptical to it's effective-ness (TBH it really wasn't all that or I didn't use it enough to ever make any difference - it did do what it said on the 'tin' - but still simply could never complete with weight-training ;)) & said to me "oh nice, so ya can put it on places your not supposed to" or something... - it was obviously a rude allusion & I just thought WTF??? it just never even entered my head. So I got em to chuck it on his bi-cep & I cranked it up full & his arm spazzed out & nearly punched himself in the face! LOL! thought twas ritious... :D it's really a strange sensation tho', since it by-passes normal muscle reactions from signals in the brain...

yes this advertisement should have been in the original article but here it is. It would have made the orig. article speak for itself more than it already did. i don't know if this advertisement above is real but it looks real off the tele.

I say this purely because 'resistance work' is usually quite effective... ;) - which of-course can be replicated by a band of rubber or as someone has already pointed out a bicycle inner tube... for a fraction of the cost.
