Anyone know of effective natural remidies for piles?

the most widely sold over-the-counter treatment, Preparation H, is derived from natural sources - shark liver oil. It also contains witch hazel.

Hemorrhoids are essentialy (from what I've read) a type of inflamed varicose vein.

Interesting factoid is that Prep H is used by some to reduce bags and dark spots under the eyes.

So I would think a regimen of treatments to reduce that inflamation might help. Witch Hazel applied generously, perhaps even ice packs. I would also recommend ingesting more fiber to reduce strain during bowel movements.

Of course more fiberous foods!!! Get a decent breakfast cereal for a start.

Buy some grounded cayenne pepper and add a half a teaspoon into hot water and drink. Cayenne is fantastic for the blood.... so good that it can stop a heart attack in 30 seconds, apparently.

And grapeseed extract.

This is probably going to sound controversial on this forum, but if yours are really bad, I would advice you to get rid of them first (yes, have them cut out) and THEN start your natural treatment. This was the only thing that worked for me, and mine were relatively minor (or so the surgeon told me; I dare not imagine the ones she had already seen). A dietary change was also inevitable in my case.

Piles are caused by diet, a poor diet...

Doctors cut out what they dont understand...

get a new doctor who understands

you are what you eat and until you wise up you are a pain in the arse

Goodness, having them cut out seems pretty extreme.

Ive read the cause is a poor diet, so perhaps working on what youre eating first of all is the best advice.

Why would you want to try and get rid of them natually when (as far as I know) the remedy is in cream form?

Apply witch hazel compresses to relieve pain and swelling. Eat a high fiber diet and drink plenty of water to reduce/prevent long-term problems.

I tried dietary changes and creams beforehand and it did not help. The problem only got worse and worse. I had to get mine cut out and start all over again. Now I'm pretty much clean. Please don't be so judgemental. What works for one person might not work for another person.

I went to the site http://www.doctoryourself.com/hemorrhoids.html and followed his directions. I got a case of Hems in October that was so bad I could not sleep at night. It took 6 weeks, but now they are gone after follwoing the above instructions.

What helps most is to drink lots of plain water.
2 liters +
Already after one week you will notice the difference.

good advice jolinemaria :)
...when stools are too dry they bulk up in the bowel this is a symptom of dehydration. The longer the waste stays inside the more likely the pressure will create a hemorrhoid or pile.

I'd also recommend this advice from motleyhoo http://www.doctoryourself.com/hemorrhoids.html

Personally If I feel backed-up I use Organic Coconut Oil ~ teaspoonful by mouth.

To prevent:
Along with the water and tips on the above site try some nettle tea daily for cleansing, fennel tea for digestion or a one day fast (you must drink water when fasting), or a day of organic apples to clean sweep the bowels (again with water) ...also try taking a walk in the air everyday.

...the condition is painful and grim I do wish you well :)

Get yourself an Aloe Vera plant, that has huge leaves, the big ones are the better ones, and tear of a bit, split it down the middle and rub it directly on your brown eye---------Gone!

Thanks for the info guys. My diet is relitively good. I do have quite abit of fibre. I think I may have 'popped' from excessive straining........
