I was just reading an article in a car magazine about the new Tesla sports car.
Some interesting things they told:
The CEO of the company is Martin Eberhard, whos parents were german immigrants.. (project paperclip maybe???)
They plan to bring out 2 other family cars named blue star & white star.
And ofcourse the name Tesla it self.
Edit: His last comment was: Even I can't conquer the world in one day.
I only don't know to who he is refering to, who also tried to concoure the world in a day??
Anyway, found it funny to read it and "see" the clues ;)

What are you talking about?
Sources, links?
Unless you've got something to back this up man, you're just talking hot air to me man.

Actually, it makes perfect sense to me.

I understand what he's talking about. But what I'm protesting is how absolutely brand new members will come on here and just start talking about things, but not provide the links.

Perhaps because they are new, they don't realise that they should?
We were all new to this once :)

@ h1s_l0rdsh1p, it is hard to provide a link of something you read in a dutch car magazine ;) And yes I'm new and only posted a few threads, which were provided with links btw, but with this it was not possible. I even looked for links online, only I didn't had enough time. I was at my work....
I only wanted to share it....
@ I_am, thanks for giving some links! I'm going to read them now. Ok only 2 links, teslamotors I already read and project paperclip... Well the title says enough :D
And like I said before, it is funny to see all the dots connecting once you get to know more and more of it. Although I must say that it is sometimes confusing because some things are contradicting...

I googled some more and found something interesting too
http://mike-mcgrath.wordpress.com/2007/02/21/the-new-motor-city/
Specially at the end:
"To build the nextgen, Tesla closed a deal to construct a manufacturing plant in New Mexico. That plant will build “Project Whitestone“, a 4 or 5 passenger sedan that will get the equivalent to 110 miles per gallon with a 500 mile range. They expect to sell 10,000 of them by 2009. That many Whitestones will take 7 million Li batteries. That’s more than Dell used in 2006 for all of their laptop production. The era of “cheap batteries” is ending."
The era of “cheap batteries” is ending???
Are they saying that batteries is going to be their next gold/oil mine??
Remember Icke: problem, reaction, solution.
Problem: global warming
reaction: we want cleaner cars (besides, the oil mines are getting empty too so they need a new money source)
solution: expensive batteries
You get the point ;)
