What is fear?

Help me answer on this. (This is not about philosophy just what you feel and know.)

Fear is told to be our prison. If there is no fear – person has free will and full range of possibilities. Do you agree?

When Im doing recapitulation of my life I can say that fear has a lot to do with decision process. When Im in fear I don’t want something to happen. When Im in fear of unknown it is the same – I don’t want something to happen. In dark empty room when you hear something like for example breathing – space of possibilities are opening, whole sea of possibilities but quite concrete if you look at them closely. There are nothing like fear of unknown itself, what you think?

And, Im in fear and I do not want something to happen. What next? Im fighting with the feeling of not wanting something to happen because it is not nice feeling. Why? I can make simple decision! I do not want this to happen. I decide that this (particular something) is not going to be my experience. And dot.

If something happened – it was my decision. I may do not understand myself but decision was mine.

Why Im fighting with the feeling of not wanting something to happen when I can make simple decision? Because I had lobotomy in childhood: I cannot make decisions for myself. It is someone wiser and stronger someone other than me who makes decisions.

This is our program. It will last so far as we understand that we do not depend on anybody and anything in the decision process. The decision itself is good enough to change the reality. David Icke says that the reality starts in emotional and mind processes of individual person and for me this is true. (I experienced this)

I know there are only words but.. I got so much inspiration from this forum…

Hey, good post. I think you're right about what fear is.
Lack of control over your self/situations.
But as children, we are young, stupid and aimless. We need to be told what to do and what not to do, or we'll get hurt. But by our parents we need to be told that.
School is the horrible place where your lobotomy happens. This knowledge is presented as if it comes from an infallible source, and punishment is given out if you violate it. Schools set themselves up to be a higher power than parental wisdom and love.
Wisdom and love and guidance do not create the fear, but totalitarian brainwashing does.
Unfortunately it's a repeating cycle now, since parents are products of the school system too.
Order is the prison and chaos is the key. :p

Thank you for you post :)
I was thinking about what you said about children...

But as children, we are young, stupid and aimless. We need to be told what to do and what not to do, or we'll get hurt. But by our parents we need to be told that.

I do not have children nor I m babysitting. So I may not have enough experience. I have my own experience only: when I was a child I experienced extreme loneliness. My parents have been thinking that when I have enough food, Im healthy and my notes are good - I should not bother them! They just gave me this orders about cleaning the house, prepare food with them but they world was unattainable by me. Nobody talked with me seriously. Nobody was truly interested.

Im not complaining here, no! This is not my aim here.

I just want to say that maybe MAYBE if we give a chance to our children to not be stupid and aimless just by listen to them and be concerned what they think and feel – it would be changed and we may even do not know how much aware and wise children are. Look at children in shops and in streets! They fight, they fight for survival. They try to manipulate. Because nobody treat them as normal human. This is not to be nice to be child in this world.

take care,

:)

To believe that all fear is good is false; and to believe that all fear is bad is also false. The truth is that fear can both harm us, and sometimes fear can help us - it depends on the situation and the circumstances. When I see the pendulum swinging like this to one of the extremes, I can't help but wonder if some people have been taught to equate all fear with weakness. It's never a weakness to be able to recognize a genuine threat for what it is, just because the first warning sign you might receive is the fear that it invokes in you. That doesn't necessarily mean you should act on your fear itself, but in this case, fear is still your ally when it alerts you that something is wrong.

Also, it would serve the ptb well in being able to manipulate people when people now try to stifle any sense of fear they may have.

Thank you for replay. It is again about definition: what you mean saing word fear. In my case it is always paralysing emotion which restrict my freedom. When Im scared Im sick, everything is deformed. This cannot be good or wrong - it is just something that overwhelm me and my being without my permission.
Im not talking about just being anxious.
