Hello Mr Moon!

I saw this thread last night and set about cracking it!

The key thing in this false magic is that the progam doesn't actually predict the number you orginially chose. What it is predicting is the answer to an equation which will always give a result which is a multiple of nine.

For Example:
Say you choose 73,
7+3=10;

73-10=63.

It is also understood that 9x7=63

Further, if you were to choose 27 this would follow;

2+7=9 and 27-9=18.

We can see 2x9=18

Any possible solution to the equation will give one of the following answers; 0; 9; 18; 27; 36; 45; 54; 63; 72 or 81 all of which are multiples of nine (well 9x0=0 but it works as a start point for the number progression).

The table telling you which symbol relates to which number appears to be random, but upon closer inspection is actually a pattern which repeats on multiples on nine, exactly the same pattern as the solutions to the equation.

The numbers that are not multiples of nine can be represented by random symbols but the mutilples of nine will always have the same symbol. The program simple chooses the symbol it already knows represents zero, nine and its multiples and it tricks you into thinking it is reading you mind.

Don't fall for these institutions' fake magic. The real magic here is in the numbers, why should it be so that the equation itself always results in a multiple of nine?

Maybe a greater mathmatician than I can answer this.
