Here, in western Canada, it's been down to -25C everynight for the week or so, with a chance of rain in a week or two. ;)

-25C in Canadia.

I know the Palinator is in Alaska but does she go South for the winter or does she venture into Canadian territory when she's huntin' burrrrs.

I'm on the fence about global warming--I think it's possible it's happening, and that humans are contributing to it in some ways. BUT I also think it's possible we may be headed into another small ice age. The truth is, climate changes on Earth, in smaller ways in the short-term, in major ways in the long-term.

However, a common misperception is that global warming means that it will be warmer everywhere all the time. Rather--at least, as I was taught by a geology professor--it means that the overall temperature on Earth will rise somewhat, but the effect on local weather patterns will be one of disruption. Extra-cold here and there, extra-hot here and there, weird and powerful storms, etc.

I am quite concerned about the lowering of river levels and drout in places like Africa. Although man might not be the sole cause of warming, I'm sure that all the aircraft and ships that have been built in the last 100 years can't have helped much.

But isn't that just nice and convenient for their agenda; whatever happens to the climate, it's all caused by us. So, anything disruptive in the weather will be our fault. But anything positive (such as if the climate naturally cooled - which it is anyway by the way according to many scientists) then it will be all thanks to the amazing NWO and their climate taxes! How ingenius they are. This is the biggest of the biggest scames in my opinion. I mean just look at their track record over things like weapons of mass destruction; there weren't any. How can anyone trust them.

The bigger picture says if we stop buying the cheaper goods from slave labour countries and the sorts of things that we can grow at home, then we wouldn't need those planes trains and boats, we are not making the very best of what we have, we are wasting it all for greed and impatiance :(.

It's an El Nino year. Does El Nino affect Europe? I certainly see a difference in Central Texas. It's cold as heck and there has been more frost and ice and earlier so than last year. We also had a spot of snow a few days ago. Not much but still quite early in the winter but it is El Nino caused.

Hehe, excellent weather news. I only wish we got more like this but it doesn't usually get this interesting 'til around 3 or 4 days before xmas.

I'm not sure what the coldest temp recorded here is but I do know the day I was born set some kind of records. An older native fellow remembers who I am by the fact that it was -50C the morning I was born.

As for climate change, has nobody mentioned the fact the axis/tilt has been changing over the years. A pilot I met told that even runways must be corrected every few years. This could be the reason for things like mass whale beachings, disapearances of bees and birds.

I hate snow the first days every year. This year it is nothing like missing a late train though, it's HELL ON EARTH.

Tried to ride a bike to school, which resulted in me nearly getting hit by a car (a dark morning, can't hear anything due to the snow etc) and hurting my kneecaps/spine. My mother has broken her right hand (fell on ICY ground, no sanding done in the streets yet) and is depressed/immobilized.

:(
