Football Factory was shit, but far better than Green Street! Part of UK life for sure....

By design, or the real thing, who knows.......

it has its roots in working class culture no doubt...
but the modern designer hooligan culture seems very different from dockers and industrial workers in england beating seven shades of hell out of each other after a huge session on saturday afternoons...
doesn't the media/authorities take an organic event or sub culture and hijack it to reshape it in its own image ?...
once something is in the news it becomes a corporate object especially when its a cultural thing, authority seems to believe in warholian accessibility...

its natural but fed by clothing / pubs / media.
keep people divided is what they want.

i have some very scary stories from some matches i went to years ago.

now dont care much for the game as all about money and profit and led by greedy ppl........tho i do still like to watch a decent game.
