a very good read. alternative view on ancient civilizations like the mayans, olmecs, incas and egyptions.

talks of the old maps of the antarctic and of how the mayans and egyptions have lots of strong parallells. And how some tall tall wise white men where in south america 5000bc.

good stuff and recommended.

One of my all time favourite books. Many of the 'theories' presented continue to be attacked by conventional 'historians', but there is no doubt in my mind that Hancock is closer to the truth than many, because he is not bound by the same restraints as those that rely on peddling 'official' history.

I would also recommend 'The Giza Power Station' by Christopher Dunne for an informed and 'scientific' endorsement of the lost civilisation that Hancock refers to. Great stuff!

Fantastic book.
Have you read Heaven's Mirror
Which is the follow-on from
Fingerprints of the Gods?
It contains some excellent
Photos taken by his wife.
Highly recommended.

I wish I could speed read so that I could get through a nice sized book in about half an hour...Then I would be able to delve into all these great subjects. I would love to hear all the histories and come to my own conclusion but I can't read fast enough so I have to narrow my reading down to trusted sources and research things that will help me like health, meditation and survival (plus a bit of history, anarchy and conspiracy theories).

I have a number of books in this genere Forbidden History by J Douglas Kenyon devotes some space to Hancock's book. The Haunted Planet by Keel is worth reading so to is Patick Heron's book The Nephiliam The Pyramids of Tha Apocalypse although what puts me of about the Author is that he claims to be a Born Again Christian.
The one writer whose books I have only just read in this fascinating area is W Raymond Drake and his books Gods in the Far East, Gods in the West and Gods in Israel are all very well researched, he was around at the same time that Von Daniken was.

Talisman is one of my favourite Graham Hancock books.
If you have not already, try getting hold of Erich von Daniken and Ralph Ellis books.
