So the other week I decided that myself and Brick Murphy should go to university as mature students. Simple enough, we went in and signed up.

I was there last year but left after a couple of weeks as it was crap. Thought a different course might help.

For references I used Brick and he used me, in a Non Gay Way. Our spelling was both spot on and we used a lot of Enhancement Stories to make us both sound very good at work and shit.

Today I they tell us we cannot use each other as references and need academic references. What the fuck is that?

Now what am I supposed to do?

Fantana, college is seriously gay, I thought you knew this? :p

I chose not to go to college, having seen the egos and robots it chucks out. I've seen my friends completely change into vain, egotistical, even MORE closed-mind (after going to college??) and their priorities are up their arse.

Their views of life are dismal job, submissive prospects and Bebo pics in the nightclub at the weekend......*shudder*

Fantana, you're way to precious for this.......get outta there my friend! ;)

Yes, we can converse more on this in your tent. But that isn't why I wanted to go, last time I got to pick on everyone and lecture people. Plus i was going to set up one of those Union Club things, Forbidden Knowledge. It would have talked about conspiracies and theorised on where women pee from.

I once applied to nursing college.
Thought that due to lack of nurses
They would snap people up.
But no...
I was rejected on the grounds that
I didn't have any nursing experience

Yeah i applied and after 2 years and a lot of f**king about i finally got accepted (had to go get GCSE's 1st) with 10yrs experience and various other vocational qualifications/courses, i was even the deputy manager of a residential care home at one point, i still had to get GCSE's just to even get the chance to do nursing the had to be interviewed:rolleyes:.....like you say Phoebe they say they have a shortage of nurses, you think they'd be keen to recruit!
I quit in March anyway....its all about laws/policies/procedures/red tape and money....not about caring! It went against everything i now believe....

University is all about producing robot people, brainwashed to all have the same general views.....

Yes, well you get those type on forums. They are a pain, the colleges tell them they are intelligent and so they think they know it all except they forget that they are only about 20 years old and have not experienced real life. Usually these days it has something to do with arguing about climate change and they don't appear to know the fundamentals of the subject since so much is left out of their education these days. It's like in order to prove something you need a link! Idiots and especially so when they have such a stupid attitude. Now you say they are homosexuals as well.

Nah, gay in more of a "stay away Fantana" term. I didn't mean that offensively!

Jesus that's ridiculous.
I had 9 GCSE's but no experience
(Apart from having cared for my own child, which didn't count )

I went to work at an elderly residential care home
In order to gain some experience of 'caring'
(I use that term loosely).
It was during those few days that I decided
I didn't want anything to do with nursing.
As you said, it's nothing to do with caring at all.
My first day I was allowed to dole out
Medicine to the residents which I thought was horrendous.
I was also reprimanded for sitting and
Chatting with one old lady
Who wanted to show me pictures of her grandchildren.
I told them I thought I was supposed to be a carer
And told them to shove it.

College is, and always has been, a fucking joke. The fact that one has to pay for their own tuition/books/supplies and even housing is a slap in the face. The whole point of making a student pay for college is to make sure they have a massive debt to repay -- which is how they control us.

A 'true' free society, would make sure that it's education systems were available to all, regardless of social status. But, the education that is being taught today is the antithesis of true knowledge; therefore, you learn nothing and lose everything. With that said, it's best to avoid college like the plague - especially if you value free thought.

It is sad, what do you think is the alternative for a good waste of time?

I dropped out after 2 years. The social life is great though..

Why did you drop out? What course did you take? The social life I saw is drinking and drugs, which seems to be the only sort of life everyone has. No one knew anything and didn't want to do anything. I dropped out after a certain broadcasting corporation wanted to sue me, the head was "baying" for my blood and I didn't like the course (Film, TV, Radio) which entitled sitting down and watching old films and talking about them.

You should have just used an Enhancement Story to get in

Now......that's a good idea!! :D

Thats a given because I was the one who came up with it.

Now you say they are homosexuals as well.

It is riddled with Galiens.

Self-Study. And then when you master what you're studying, apply for a fake degree.

Do/find whatever makes you happy, i wanted to be a nurse all my life my mum says 1st said it when i was knee high (my mum's quite tall!!), so although i did sh*t at school (thanks to a challenging upbringing), i still went straight into care-work from school and worked my way up doing courses and NVQ's etc etc, and finally last year i made it to Uni!

Now look at me, i 'woke up' realised its all boll**ks and now i work for a travel company as a cashier, ive been there 2mths now and its great, i have no responsibility, i dont have to take my work home, its p*ss easy and im being paid to do it!! Im capable of much more, i just i realised i dont wanna do much more, its all just to aspire to someone elses level of acceptable qualifications, intelligence, status, etc ...

Im happy, ive found out that all of this is about being content with what you do....it could be better, i'd like to not work and still get paid enough to get along in life, but its not bloody bad....

collage and university is just programming... ok when you go to learn to do pluming or some kind of trade, then fare play.... but allot of it is just mind programing... and it also teaches people to be competitive (in a gay way) and ruin their values...

I dropped out because the industry i wanted to work in, i quickly realised didn't give a toss about whether you had a degree or not. And in fact, the people leaving college/uni going into that profession were less able than those who just blagged their way in and went for it. It was a media degree - probably the worst kind you can do. I don't recommend it.
I had a pretty good job before then with a big broadcaster, which i quit to go and "study". They thought i was mad, and i probably was.

However, now i've left working for broadcasters entirely, as they're an even bigger waste of time than the degree's which study them! But that's another topic.

Yeah the drink and the drugs and the doing nothing - i have to admit that appealed to me for 2 years of my life.
