* I would think those in your same group would be too much of the same....too much air, too much earth etc...it seems it would be better with opposite groups to balance things out

beyond my scheming, dreaming, or manipulating...I have found that as a "Scorpio" (cyclicity....cyclicity, that's why I look at this!) I HAVE found from experience, synchro~destiny, ah...creating my "reality", co-workers, bosses etc...that I harmonize best with other water or earth signs. no bias amongst air and fire where I have indeed encountered more "friction"...combustion, wind burn...water moistens earth...wind makes fire rise....

see any patterns amongst lovers, friends, teachers, siblings...?

It depends on the ascendant and moon sign as well. I.E. a libra who should not get along with a virgo might marry a virgo IF the virgo has libra moon and the libras got virgo ascendant :)

The synastry aspects means everything. Also, the composite chart = fixed energy within the relationhsip as a whole. Using the midpoint method.

And it also depends on Chinese signs, which are simply an expansion of the concepts of western astrology. Astrology is based upon sacred geometry and angles of difference in birth ages. Western astrology emphasizes the angles within the year while Chinese astrology emphasizes the angles over a 12 year period. Both systems are needed to get a complete picture.

As a typical Libran I find it impossible to be in the same room as a Capricorn.Aries to a lesser extent.I can usually tell somebodys sign within ten mins.

so generally speaking, air + air and air+ fire = compatible.

and earth + earth and earth + water = compatible.




there can be exceptions though... obviously. for the record, i usually can't stand the water signs.

Synastry = you lay the astrological chart of a person on top of yours or vice versa. And then you see how the other person's planets affects your personal chart like which houses they fall in, and the aspects they make.

It's a very useful tool I think. But there are a lot of things that matters, like it's not always only the usual chemistry or good aspects that makes the relationship good. It also depends on each person's energies, what they look for and need in a partner.

Like, a person who is very conservative or distant in love with his venus saturn conjunction, and on top of that has a mars in capricorn (ruler of saturn) - then he might look for mature women and take love seriously (but be distant). Even if he has sun sign in aries, (the unreliable fire) one shouldn't only look at the aries sun to determine his love life. So if his venus saturn conjunction conjuncts in synastry a woman's sun venus conjunction in leo, then this would mean his capricorn being here is too heavy, cold and boring for her. Even if these two people share fire elements.

To find someone that might match this guy's desire for love, maybe a woman with capricorn sun sign. So even if she is earth and he is fire, it would match.

The planets closest to and the sun, mars, venus, mercury, moon (and the ascendant as well) matters most when it comes to the personal things in the relationship, like being comfy with each other, trusting one another, and the soul mate feelings. For instance, even if two people seem to have a difficult synastry, if they got the moon conjunct sun aspect, this very often leads to marriage. Another great romance aspect is when the moon is conjunct the others venus.

Squares and oppositions create conflict, but some people love drama, so that doesn't have to be a bad thing. Venus square mars for instance can create great passion, or a love/hate relationship. The conjunctions are more soft and harmonic.

The outer planets like pluto, uranus, jupiter, neptune and saturn - they are life changing and transforming. If connected to the other person's personal planets like sun, moon and venus, it hits you very hard. Difficult aspects to saturn can mean it won't last. Same with unpredictable uranus.

To see what a man wants in a woman, it's a good idea to look at his moon and venus sign. Moon is the woman he needs, venus the woman he falls in love with. Like, if he has moon in pisces, he might like spiritual women that are soft and social, kind. With a venus in leo, he falls for women that are strong and confident as well.
With women you can look at her mars sign to see what kind of man she desires. I.e. mars in gemini - flirt, communication, but rather shallow relation. Mars in scorpio - lots of sex and passion.

And to add this thing about houses - if a man's venus, mars and moon falls in a woman's 7th house for instance, this is perfect for marriage since this house is for partnership and marriage.

If some of his planets falls into her 9th house maybe sun and venus - it will transform her being, the consciousness, which is jupiter, the 9th house ruler. Even if none of her planets are in the 9th house, it impacts it that way. 9th house stands for long distance travel and publishing as well. Maybe he lives abroad.

And uhm you also have other important stuff, like the north node (the future) - if a woman's sun conjuncts a man's north node, she will find meaning to be with him into the future.

If her south node (past) conjuncts a man's sun or moon, he might feel like being with her pulls him backwards and into old habits.

I think it is a great to find out somebody's moon sign to indicate whether or not you'll get along deep down....

When it comes to romantic relationships venus & mars signs are an indicator on what type of relationship you'll have too.

Chinese astrology is also important.

I've got quite a few Goats round me and they can drive me up the bleedin' wall sometimes.

It's always worth pointing out though on this subject, that all signs carry positive and negative characteristics that we will act out according to other factors, such as environment when growing up.

Speaking from experience, if you are a sagittarius woman, do not go near any virgo men. (its true, they really are critical!)

I did a study on couples long ago, and found some correlations, taurus men and leo women, scorpio women and libra men, and gemini women and aquarius men came up the most. Just my unofficial observations.

for instance, a sun in pisces with a virgo ascendant :cool:

for best results you'd need to compare the WHOLE chart.

I don't know where I stand in all this.

I'm a Taurean, my girlfriend is a Sagittarius.

Having said that my moon is in Aquarius and my ascendant is on the cusp Aquarius/Pisces.

im a pisces, and there are certain types i find irritating.

i shouldn't get on with geminis but i like them immensely.

i think the traditionally info on astrology is largely bollocks.

i can't stand most cancerians and scorpios. although i do get on okayish with earth signs.
