below is a copy from an email i just wrote to a friend.
it's about "enlightenment" also called "being your natural self".
my style of pointing to the truth (true-self) is copied from teachers like Nisargadatta, Ramana Maharshi & Gangaji.
love you people of the world

i just noticed something cool. i'm not completely sure about what i'll be saying in this email cause i haven't tested it properly.
it's something i just experienced right now for the first time and i should actually perhaps maybe look into it deeper, before i tell you...
but my ego just thought it was a nice thing to say to you.
this whole email is just an effort by an idiot (my ego, the intellect) to intellectually understand something that can't be...
and then explain it to somebody else. i don't believe a word i say, ever. but anyway, here goes
there was this guy called osho (nobody special) and 5 months ago i read about a little meditation he advised people to do,
called mirror gazing. he said "do it in the evening when it's a little darker, and just stare into the mirror for twenty minutes each day.
you will see different faces appear and disapear (old karma) until finally when you have gone through all the karma... your face will disapear".
i think i just experienced my face disapearing, his meditation is a funny joke.
you don't have to do it everyday or anything, and not even at night.
i've done it only 5 times or so.
i'd love to not tell you the secret behind it, so you can discover for yourself...
but i don't want your mind wandering about it so i'll just tell how it works...
to experience your face disapearing, you'll still have to do it yourself anyway.
as long as you believe the world to be real...
you will see your face in the mirror. you see your eyes, your nose, other characteristics.... and perhaps experience feelings attached to them.
negative feelings or feelings of grandeur, they are karma.
that which looks and see the face in the mirror is the ego...
that has puzzled all the chaos that was filmed through the eye into a 3-dimensional image that makes sense.
to really see what is there, you have to let go of the see-er (the belief of self) and then the one who sees and
that which is seen disapear both together into your true self.
this is probably what is meant with looking within.
do not blindly belief the fear, the body, the good & the bad to be true... just because you see it or feel it.
stop believing anything... stop looking at anything... stop feeling anything.
because all of the above make believe there is a believer, a looker or a feeler.
instead...
experience the believing, experience the looking, experience the feeling...
by simply experiencing... or simply "being"...
both the experiencer and the experience (which are temporary, thus fake)
dissolve into the permanent... the real... which is EXPERIENCING (or "being", or "infinite love") itself.
