I was going through the city, setting up flyers for looking for a php/flash coder, and I walked by this place I never had noticed before, although I've passed there 100's if not 1000's of times.

It's called The Institute for Unstable Media. When I wanted in, it was black everywhere. It had a huge screen in the front in the middle with a projected picture in it. And right in the middle, it had a large contraption in the middle of the room, with a tube full of slides in it.

Now, this thing in the middle of the room, it was projecting a slide onto a screen infront of it. So, you would look at it, and you could flip it and everything. It was nice. And you could see the slide inside of it aswell. But when you pushed a knob. It did something I never thought they would do.
IT WHEN SEND IT INTO A SHREDDER, AND YOU COULD WATCH IT GET RIPPED INTO THOUSANDS OF PIECES!

And then then another one was put in it's place on the projector. Now, this machine was really loud it it shredded the slide. But I could see the beauty in this. I could see the beauty in it's destruction.

Now, the slides were obtained from somebody that would bake pies, and trade them for slides. These slides were given to somebody by their faimly, but it was meaningless to them. Now, I can understand that they did have meaning to somebody, but not much anymore.

But the beauty of it, to me. Was the fact, that YOU were that LAST ONE TO SEE THESE SLIDES UNTIL THEY WERE GONE FOREVER...

It gave me this feeling of guilt, yet of a feeling of wow. I was the last one to ever see that picture. I get to keep that memory for myself...

I really enjoyed it, and I can't wait to see more art from these people.
