Dear Moderators/Admins,
Could you activate the RSS-Module for this forum? It would make keeping up with posts/topics so much easier.
Kind regards
-Stephan

Hello stomph.
I have spoken to Sean our webmaster about your request, and he has told me this isn't something he'll be looking into at the moment.
Sorry :o

Thanks for the reply!
Just one more question: What's there to look into? It's just an option in the backend of vbulletin... and would really make (surely not just my) life much easier as this is the only forum I have to visit directly to get updates..
Or is there a reason for not having the feeds active?
Ok, that was two questions ;-)

RSS-Module? Is that to do with e-commerce?

No, RSS helps keep the overview over lots of news-/forumtopics. You just add feeds to a reader and it picks up the newest topics/headlines for you, so you don't have to browse to each and every newssite/forum.
You can use standalone applications or webbased services.. I use Sage, a firefox-extension, that nicely puts all my feeds in the sidebar :).

An RSS document, which is called a "feed", "web feed", or "channel", contains either a summary of content from an associated web site or the full text. RSS makes it possible for people to keep up with their favorite web sites in an automated manner that's easier than checking them manually.
RSS content can be read using software (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Software) called a "feed reader" or an "aggregator (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aggregator)." The user subscribes to a feed by entering the feed's link into the reader or by clicking an RSS icon in a browser that initiates the subscription process. The reader checks the user's subscribed feeds regularly for new content, downloading any updates that it finds.
Looks usful for some sites, blogs, forums etc. Never used it before.

I would have to add to this that there is a demand for this feature and I myself use rss which I even pick up on my mobile.
I don't always have to time to catch up if I have to check in manually as we currently do here.
It would indeed make life much easier :)
