I do electional astrology too but I don't trust modern astrology. They used to watch the stars, build the attributes for each one and plotting the events and studying them as they happened very carefully over a course of thousands of years.

This culmintated in many different sources all having very similar approaches to astrology.

But as soon as they found the outer planets, astrologers seemed to rush to give them attributes. They did not plott the planets and study them like a science but opting to give them a correspondance and then try to fit the data around that correspondance. Afterall, your not going to sell books if you say you don't know what significance a planet currently is. If you take 12 modern astrologers and asked them to find the next few moments when the sun will be powerful, you will probably get 12 different answers. They can't all be right unless you want to denegrate astrology to a quack science.
