Whilst out running last night I saw the most amazing thing.....I swear I did, have never seen anything like it.......2 orange lights with another 2 orange lights closely following them coming over the bay area where i live......
I kept my eye on them, they were not planes as lights weren't flashing and they were too close together, and not Helicopters as there was no noise.....
A shooting star then came across the bay, which at first I thought was a firework and they then disappeared, i thought behind a cloud, but you could still see the stars so it wasn't that cloudy.
Sent the hairs up on my arms.....
I was running so didnt have my phone or camera on me, but wish I had.....
Quite incredible...Stopped and chatted to a guy walking his dog who had seen exactly the same thing......
Anyone?!!

I saw these last monday but they were military planes on bombing run exercise. At first i freaked out because i thought it was like what i saw in august then i heard the engines, bummer.
The orange was really bright not seen any other planes with that colour orange before. I asked a friend about these as he is always on the aerospace forums and he confirmed that the miltary were playing war games.
Oh this was east anglia and your sighting might of been somthing completly different like mine in august keep looking i am ;)

Here is my report of my sighting that i submitted to MUFON.I ruled out, planes, helicopters ect as you will see from my description of what i saw, the weather conditions, time frames involved and movements of this object made me realise that this was not a lantern.IF THE DESCRIPTIONS BELOW ARE LIKE MINE THEN LANTERNS ARE RULED OUT.
Here is my report below. This sighting took place at the beginning of this year.
"I decided to share this sighting by myself of a very strange object that i seen last night from my back garden as i think it was strange enough to report on here.I will now give a brief description of what i saw and the duration, weather conditions and time scale of my sighting."
1.I had just went out side to have a cigarette in my garden when my attention was drawn to a deep orange coloured object. It was moving a bit faster than a commercial aeroplane but was lower in the sky.It did not have any tail lights or blinker lights that you would associate with a commercial aeroplane .
It made no sound at all, odd because of its hight in the sky, its size was roughly
half the size of a full moon in the night sky.It was spherical in shape but not exactly, there was a dime brightness with a sort of hazy glow but the centre of it seemed brighter. This sighting took place at 9.55pm(GMT) , the location of the sky that this object travelled was clear with no cloud cover, there was NO STRONG WINDS ,just a very slight breeze.
This object travelled horizontally across the sky for the duration of my sighting and at NO time did it rise up vertically or appear to fly erratically, so i ruled out Chinese lanterns for those facts.
2.As i watched this object move i finally lost view of it behind neighbouring houses,(my first sighting of this object lasted about just under a 1min.
It took me about 8-10 SECONDS to get from my back garden through my hall and out into the FRONT garden.
This object was now higher in the sky and much further away in distance as well as height, in fact it was well over my neighbourhood and slightly smaller than Venus as seen in our sky's with the naked eye.It was travelling faster now and this second sighting lasted about 30 seconds until i lost view of it.
This object must have accelerated quite fast and travelled quite fast given it took me only 8-9 SECONDS to get from my back garden to my front garden to view it again. I will say this that this object was on the flight path of commercial aeroplanes that travel near my house but the lack of sound from it and its height is suspicious.Iam used to seeing aeroplanes travel this flight path and to me this was no plane.Well there you have it, i will now be sending a report of it to MUFON.JC.

There are some pranksters around who fill large balloons with helium and place inside them those snap light sticks, and whallah you have a UFO rising fairly fast in what ever colour you choose, its getting near to the holiday season so there is plenty of stuff around to make these.

the real questions are
*is it secret technology
*is it alien technology
*is it project bluebeam
*why do people automatically assume they are chinease lanterns?

People assume that they are chinese lanterns because they nearly always are chinese lanterns.

Hi frase
No, haven't ever seen orange lights in the sky, but 4 of us saw a huge orange UFO sitting right above us here in NZ.
I loved it, as the 3 people I was with were complete UFO sceptics , but they have gone really quiet of late :D
It was a large orange MACHINE, and it took off at a speed that had to be seen to be believed.
All true frase

Frase,
YOu are not going mad son, Have a look at these two Vids I shot.
If your interested any further I have 10 vids on my U tube channell , all shot in the last 3 weeks or so.
I have been shooting hours of footage,
The first vid is two orbs , they normally buzz my house (as in hover for a minute then approach and tail off directly over my house. I thought I was imagining it but it happens on a regular basis now.
Anyway I ask them to close up for me and viola. They also then start flashing as if to immitate aircraft. Please watch , they pass so close to each other they can't be Jets , first their not loud enough and second they are violating all laws of avaiation.
Warning :- ~This video may dissapoint potential debunkers !!

pretty bold statement!!
you are assuming people cant tell the difference, would you say the video's filmed by me and fekdemasons posted are chinease lanterns?
I have seen many chinease lanterns flying around, but NEVER claimed they were ufo's nor taken pics or vids of them then posted them on youtube..

I saw an orange light travelling the sky at dusk.
It was faster then a normal airplane, it was flying beneath the clouds and it was clearly visible. The light was orange en it was concentrated, meaning it was not shining forward into the distance like the headlight of an airoplane f.i.
This was more then a month ago in the Netherlands.

Around about the 14th of this month...A large ball of orange light that blinked then disappeared somewhere near Bucca Mountain. I thought that it was probably the planet Jupiter which may have been hidden by cloud cover? Maybe!!!

I've seen a lot of these lately, very high up in the sky. I've been signaling them with a green 30mw laser i have and a few times they have flashed a bright orange light back. I believe them to be exoatmospheric ET vehicles.

The nine, Tawnyraja is my girlfriend and I posted about chinese lanterns not realising that she was logged in so....check back and you'll see that Frase has said that he doesn't really know what chinese lanterns look like, now the first time I saw them(about fifteen years ago) I thought that I was seeing something extraordinary, because they are amazing things to see, and there are still loads of people who haven't seen chinese lanterns and when they do see them for the first time they will post here saying they've seen ufo's and round and round the circle goes.
Now to be fair to Frase, all he's said is he's seen something outside his normal experience and I'd bet a pound to a penny that the orange lights he described were chinese lanterns, the other stuff posted here I don't know about but whatever you saw you have to realise that the video doesn't show anything very interesting.
Sorry if you feel like I'm pissing on your chips but this is a forum eh?
