Just a question for the knowledgable freeman folk here.
Its that time of year again when the electoral register forms drop through the letter box and I'm just wondering where i stand on filling them in from a freeman perspective. Ive lived at this address for about four years and neither me nor my housemate have ever been on the electoral register.
I was on it about eight years ago when i lived at my folks place and ive never ever voted in all the years ive been allowed to. I partly dont want to be on it because i have a few debts here and there from when i was in my teens and had fun with credit, nothing drastic, but im still in no position to start repaying them yet.
As i say weve just got away with ignoring it every other year, but this year they seem to be a bit more insistent, theyve sent a chap round a few times but as me and my housemate never answer the door unless we know whos coming round, we never get to speak to them. Today the forms and the fella appeared again, this time with a more strongly worded approach with the threat off a thousand pound fine and the scary spectre of not being able to get credit, like i could anyway. Its not as if im off the radar, i'm on the council tax bill, its one time im glad the government cant do simple things like cross reference two databases.
Any suggestions? Should my housemate fill it in to keep them off our back as he has no debts? Or should i just laugh in its silly face again?

As another option, read here

I wouldn't fill out the form unless you want to contract to consent to be governed regardless of whether you vote or not or who-ever wins
And the £1000 fine, based on information as I understand it, applies ONLY to misleading or false information: not for submitting no information... scare tactic blag
Still I wonder if there is a reason they are so insistent this year?
Hand over of sovereignty to the EU, perhaps?
(^ the answer is YES btw )

This thread is really relevant to me as I had a visit from somebody asking me to sign an electoral registration form earlier. They stated that as I hadn't filled in and returned a form that I had been sent they were there to get the details on my doorstep. Strange, as I do not open UNSOLICITED, UNADDRESSED mail. I don't know who "The Occupier" is, that's certainly not my name (or my legal fiction "Person" or otherwise) so it goes straight in the shredder.
The officer told me that it was illegal for me not to fill it in and I would get a £1000 fine, so I asked them to tell me specifically which law or statute said that. They simply said "so you don't want to fill it in?" and walked away.
I didn't even touch or get to have a good look at the form and see what the various options were. The form, I believe, was an offer to contract. Not something I'm likely to consent to on a dark doorstep, with someone who I have never met, and didn't even see any identification for!

How did your son sign for you?
Does he have power of attorney?
Look at 'revocation of signature for cause' ... might be relevant.

By filling in the form but not voting you are contracting to be governed by who is irrelavant so dont fill the contract dont enter into any agreement you have the right to add or delete any aprt of that register or contract but I just tell them to try and take me to court if they think they have a case for the fictional entity to answer.
I don't know if you're ready to see what I want to show you, but unfortunately, you and I have run out of time. They're coming for you, and I don't know what they're going to do.

How old is your son? i.e. still a minor?
Did she identify herself?
Was he fully informed as to what he was signing?

The signature of a minor on a contract is neither legal or lawfull the child is a minor and cannot contract without the consent of a legal guardian so it is null and void in the world of commerce you can rebutt it so do so.
Know thy self. I wanna tell you a little secret people, being a freeman is just like being in love. No one needs to tell you, that you are in love, you just know it, through and through.
