does anyone know of any effective methods to stop snoring - my partner is at the end of his teather with me snoring away!

cutting out dairy is a big help i find. and not smoking. anything that reduces mucus i guess

Alcohol makes me snore, again dairy, caffeine at night will tighten the airways on the comedown part.

Could be lack of moisture in the air from heating. My Dad used to snore too, expecially in winter.
I told him to put a bowl of water next to any radiators/fires.
It did the trick.

well, thanks for the tips...
caffiene - I only drink coffe in the morning....
dairy - I eat very little, some cheese every other day (being vege, I still need some animal fats!)
moisture in the air - we dont have any heating on in the bedroom, and the window is normaly ajar.
I dont know what the solution.... or cause can be.

Have you looked at chin up strips? .. They close the mouth so you're encouraged to breath normally. I've seen nose strips also,
but from what I've heard from a friend they tend to come off during sleep, if you have a wide nose.

I've known loads of people who have snored, it leaves eventually.
