Do you like Phil Collins?
I've been a big Genesis fan ever since the release of their 1980 album, Duke. Before that, I really didn't understand any of their work. Too artsy, too intellectual. It was on Duke where Phil Collins' presence became more apparent. I think Invisible Touch was the group's undisputed masterpiece. It's an epic meditation on intangibility. At the same time, it deepens and enriches the meaning of the preceding three albums. Listen to the brilliant ensemble playing of Banks, Collins and Rutherford. You can practically hear every nuance of every instrument. In terms of lyrical craftsmanship, the sheer songwriting, this album hits a new peak of professionalism. Take the lyrics to Land of Confusion. In this song, Phil Collins addresses the problems of abusive political authority. In Too Deep is the most moving pop song of the 1980s, about monogamy and commitment. The song is extremely uplifting. Their lyrics are as positive and affirmative as anything I've heard in rock. Phil Collins' solo career seems to be more commercial and therefore more satisfying, in a narrower way. Especially songs like In the Air Tonight and Against All Odds. But I also think Phil Collins works best within the confines of the group, than as a solo artist, and I stress the word artist. This is Sussudio, a great, great song, a personal favorite.

Nice one!
I preferred him drumming in Genesis personally as he's an AMAZING drummer!!
But i still think it's a shame that Cadbury's are using his music in such a way...

Do you know that Cadburys are one of the most notorious slave driving, child-exploiting chocolate companies on the face of the planet?
People starve because of these guys and now they are laughing in our faces by showing a monkey banging the drums. That advert isn't intended for us... it's intended for those who KNOW what their game plan is and what they are upto.
These people are communicating with each other through the media and laughing at us at the same time... or provoking us...
If you like chocolate then buy Fair Trade DIVINE Milk Chocolate- it's a million times better than Cadbury's and no-one died harvesting the cocoa. In fact people probably managed to sleep in a warm bed because of it xxx

It was suggested to me that the initial sequence of this advert was of a sexually suggestive nature and I had to agree.

:( Boycott Cadburys! Yes, fair trade choc tastes good mmm.
I also agree Collins should stick to playing drums. A few class examples can be found on Trick of a Tail album, as you prob know. And the early stuff had some dam good music going on in places.

Hi Mr. Moon.
I was going to ask if Green and Blacks is Fairtrade, and then had a memory jolt that they have been bought out by Cadbury's. Do you know if this is correct?
Also, do you know if Divine is organic?
Thanks muchly.

I don't eat much chocolate but I've noticed they have been changing the recipes lately eg. Galaxy. Whatever they are doing the end result is worse than it was before.
