If you have any notes with the missing word STERLING in your possession please return these to the banks and ask them to swap them for 'real' notes as these ones are fake and are absolutely worthless !!!

lol, the scotish £20 has the word sterling' on.
Paper Money is worthless unless it is given and accepted as value.
The OP is right, money is no longer representative of value / gold / silver / sterling.
