But there is mentioned, somewhere on the internet, information on underground bases.

One man stumbled into what they called 'the hall of horrors'. Genetic experiments and chimeras in there that are just... beyond our imagination. So terrible and wrong that the man who stumbled upon it left the base immediately and had to unofficially resign (you're not allowed to quit... you have to run away and hide, change your identity etc.)

In order to exit the base without being 'caught' he had to control his own thoughts because if he walked around with an expression of terror on his face the other 'beings' in the base would have felt him out and probably killed him.

It's an intense story and we have to just hope that it was only a story...

You may be right. But disease and sickness is a financial creation. Without sickness etc. a vast industry would be lost and not only that, some of those job losses will have major financial implications for the individuals whose livelyhood depend on it.

As long as disease and sickness thrive then vast sums of money will be made. Harvesting body organs will save lives undoubtedly, but the overall objective with any scientific breakthrough will ultimately be financial.
