I want to raise awareness on this topic, (if it has not already been so).

I have recently spent the last few weeks preparing to grow foods for coming spring. I've planted a few fruit bushes in my garden. I grow my own herbs already and now getting a plot for a vegatable patch :. I'm a beginner in this area. So I would love to hear your skills in growing foods, what your also doing and what not.

The main reason : I wanted to post this thread is because I'm calling you all to start growing your own food NOW. If your reading this the higher source is trying to get you to become aware and change your reality. The shift in the reality is now creating duality of two worlds on this planet. It's already becoming evident physically. For example. You have a community on here who is aware and awake to the constant changes of the planet. Thus, this means your changing your reality to be intune with nature. This is where your learning to master your own reality to be what you want it to be. Well many are still going about their lives in the matrix the same way they did last year and have little awareness that you and I here might be encountering.

I'm going to share my little story here. Atm, I'm building a flower sanctuary where my Grandparents passed away in a tragic accident a few miles from home many years ago. This accident had killed 5 people. My grandparents passed on with 7 orphaned children. It's pretty shocking. But they all have managed thankfully over time. But I feel now is the time to change this beaurevement and sorrow into a reality where we joy and harmonious.

I've come to know my higher source by some amazing sychronity. So over the years to now, I realise my higher purpose.
I was called from higher self to create a piece of heaven where they passed away. Since the universe gave us food, air, and light in abundance whereever we are. I felt this is the time to create heaven on earth.

I've built a stone rockery and seeded many spring and winter flowers that will come back every year along the road I've plant roses. I will plant an ash tree and certain native trees that are symoblic to this ritual. Some, willows and fruit trees too. It's starting to come together in a good way now, so I'm really happy with the way it's turning out. I've a long way to go though. It's kinda odd that I'm doing this. I'm 24 and everyone tells me I should out there burning money. But no this is not me. I'm not going down that path. It was not what I was born here to do. I know an earthly life wouldn't be easy for me. But I will do what I have to do to help bring the change that is needed in all the creativity that I was given in this life. :)

My ultimate dream is to make the road side heaven on earth. Next week I will plant daffodils on either side for 3 miles. That will be a lot of work. :D So this will be a 6 mile walk of sweating and bending over etc. I will do more over the next year or so I believe my higher vision will guide me in what is the best creation from this. My goal is to ensure my community will start to notice nature around them. My mother for example has been uneasy about it, as it touches some deep wounds in her about her childhood. But I beleive this will aid her healing as the time follows on. I will say this has not been easy for me. I'm putting my heart out in every way I can, and people will take advantage of that even some members of my own family. But you have to accept this is what happens when you expose your heart chakra to the open world. This energy will really test your connection here in the physical to the higher self realms. This literally means you will look for love beyond the five senses and learn to trust your inner and higher self with totality.

The higher source wants us to get back in touch with mother nature. It's sad when you see all the starvation and greed in the world and none of us realise just how rich the earth is. Or how rich we can make it. The universe gave us everything we need. But somehow we still feel unhappy and crave more. I feel we need to give ourselves to mother nature and she will bear all the fruit you need to eat. I don't have a lot of money or help to do what I'm doing.

But I'm dedicated to it. I would love to hear anyone out there who has the same thoughts on this as I do. I have to much love for this world to let it be sillent in me. The struggles we endured for far to long, means we need to change NOW, not tomorrow.

Love and light :)

We have grown our own veges for about 5 years now and have found that planting by the moon works far better and then this year we placed some Orgone domes in the plots and the veges were even better!.. i recon we can grow double the veg next year in the same plot!

Growing alfalfa sprouts is a great way to start growing your own food.

All you need is some seeds, a glass jar and some water.

So many nutrients!!! Have a look at this link.......

Recently I've become interested in growing my own food - I'm on the waiting list for an allotment, but they said I'll have to wait at least a year :(

Yeah if you have enough light, like next to a window or sliding glass door, if not you need to add a artificial light, a grow light like HPS (high pressure sodium) for some or all of the time, depending on how many hours of light you need and how much sunlight you already have.

One can grow anything pretty much anywhere if the conditions for photosynthesis are there, water/food + correct lighting, which includes the hours of daylight in some cases.

All the info one needs is on the web for growing food indoors. There are even light meters available so we can check the available light for any given space.

Ive even grown an almond tree indoors, quite by accident, i plucked off a stick from an outdoor tree in winter, to prop up a potted plant indoors, and it ended up growing roots and taking over the pot!

Can't bring down mother nature! How big does an almond tree grow? I really need to get more informed on this. I'm spending big money on fruit and nut trees and other food growing plants.

I suggest the Almond production manual for starters, some of it is online.

Almond trees grow huge if you let them, 10-12 meters tall, but of course they can be pruned and held back to whatever you like, like all trees.

Being deciduous it needs a dormant winter period. You will have to winter it in a suitably cool area, they need chill factor (a certain successive number of cold days/nights to initiate budding/flowering to get fruit.)

I dont know the specifics about exact chill requirements as i havent attempted to continue growing them indoors, as here where i am it is a perfect almond growing area and they just grow and fruit outdoors without doing much at all.

Just make sure you use a domesticated (grafted on) variety, as the wild variety contains hydrogen cyanide in the nut

great thread we must take a leaf out of the cubans who in every garden you can see growing of own crops and in eny comman green space they share the land for growing , i say we all take back a bit of land to grow our own each garden ( if you have 1 ) should have a 8x6 area just for veg , and than we wouldnt need to by the crap washed out veg froim supermarekets also i found a land sharing is the way foward aswell if you dont have garden there plenty about just search land share in you area ,i also have a few in my local town who are setting up a growing a sustainble living future of about 3 acres they dig it over now so will post up some pics next time im there , and there getting the local community involved and kids in to see how its done so , great idea that , keep growing
also to add , if you have had tomoatos that havnt turned red yet i usually stick in a brown paper bag in the draw works everytime that if you like red toms, some like em green ,
