Extremists are attempting to derail the introduction of a national swine flu vaccination campaign, the country’s top doctor has warned.

Dr. Josef Mengele aka. Sir Liam Donaldson, the Chief Medical Officer for England, spoke out against protests aimed at deterring people from having the jab. In one case, a Birmingham hospital had already been flyposted with anti-vaccination messages as its immunisation campaign started.

Estimates suggest that 78,000 people in England fell ill with swine flu last week, an increase on the 53,000 new cases in the week before.

I do not support vandalising buildings to make a point but I see that by this article, the number of swine flu cases is estimated. Until they blood test each and every person who presents with flu like symptoms they are playing games. Same thing happened in our town, heaps of people scurrying about with masks on, saying they had swine flu but nobody was actually tested for proof.

A campaign group has put up posters in three Birmingham hospitals urging against the swine flu vaccine.

The government's chief medical officer, Sir Liam Donaldson, said the posters could undermine peoples' confidence and lead to a loss of life.

The website of the People's United Community is on the posters, which say swine flu is a hoax and the vaccine could kill.

The group said it believes the vaccine suppresses the immune system.

The first vaccinations in the UK have begun with health workers, seriously ill patients, the elderly and children treated as priorities.

'Create fear'

But Dr Rashmi Shukla, regional director of public health, said the posters would cause alarm.

"I would urge them to stop doing this on the basis that this is not accurate information and they are maybe causing considerable alarm to people who need protection from swine flu," she said.

Sir Liam told BBC News that it was a tactic designed to "create fear and spread confusion" and could undermine peoples' confidence in the NHS.

"It could indeed lead to the loss of life of vulnerable people, particularly if children were not to get the vaccine," he said.

No one from the group has made any comment about putting the posters up.

On their website, the organisation said it seeks "only to show people actual, factual information about the world around them."

In the West Midlands 15 people have died while suffering from swine flu.

It just made me feel so sick that they are pushing such outright lies with such impunity and making any descenting voice (ie telling the truth) seem like deranged, satanic nutters. :mad:

It was a shame that the group of 'extremists' did not wish to comment on camera, as it was a great opportunity to put over some hard facts about the swine flu hoax. On the positive side, the experts said that they are worried that some people might take these claims seriously and not have a flu-jab. :)
