This just in from Paddy Power: "As Europe moves ever closer to becoming a political superstate former prime minister Tony Blair has been backed into odds-on favourite to land the historic post of being the first president of the EC.

"Blair has been the long time favourite for most of the summer in the race but punters sense some shrewd political manoeuvring on Blair's part, backing him down to just 4/6 from 9/4 over the last few days."

so if i put the 600 quid under my sink on this i'll get a grand back yeah? The whole thing is rigged isn't it and just being played out infront of our eyes
:confused::o

dont fall for it! its a scam! Tony Blair wont be Euro PM - his name is being mentioned so everyone gets their knickers into a twist worried by that mass murdering war criminal representing us again - and then they will do the classic bait and switch and put forward someone else who were all like - yay! he's so MUCH better than Blair!! (he wont be but the sheeple wont know that!)

I think this person will the be the President:

14/1 Mary Robinson - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia, former president of Ireland.

That's of she is even a real candidate. Ireland's been in the EU news for some time now for obvious reasons, seems fitting it may be in it again. Having a woman is also a message of equality and diversity which is a message the EU likes to give out, think about it the US has yet to have a woman president and yet the EU first president after the Lisbon Treaty will be a woman. ;)
She's also more well respected than many of the other candidates, in other words she's CLEAN.

She wont raise any eyebrows.

Then again she's been quoted as saying she doesn't want the job but that could simply be misinformation.
