Acid experiences: LSD's effect on illness

Makes me think of Bill Hicks :)

These articles discuss current studies into the positive effects of psychedelic, and other, drugs. Good to see this getting some positive attention.

Also, felt this video would go nicely in the thread..

From personal experience I believe that psychedelic drugs are very beneficial to health; mentally, physically and spiritually.

The first time I took acid (I have taken it only three times) I felt that I was taken apart and put back together again, I felt cleansed and very focused. It was a wonderful and overwhelming experience.

Psychedelics allow us to explore and engage our reality, to stop and see, doing so puts things very much in perspective.

LSD can cause chronic anxiety too.. there's some bad batches outthere where there is very little peace of mind, it's like a demon takes a shit in your mind and wipes his ass on your sensibilities :p

True, psychedelics do need to be treated with caution too, like all powerful substances, if not then they can effect people negatively too. So long as the individual taking it is confident and sensible that shouldn't happen. It's also really important to know the source of the acid too for that reason.

Personally I also much prefer to take a few mushrooms, I find them to give a much more comforable experience. I greatly value the experiences I've had on acid but I don't feel the need to take LSD again, It is a very intense drug.

Indeed, poor Casey, another victim of the pointless war on drugs.

If you have a moment, spare a thought for Casey and write to him, give him some stamps and money for phone credits. He's a highly intelligent and loving individual who is having is life wasted in a British prison coz those assholes in Parliament refuse to bring the drug laws into the 21st century.

LSD is good for you, provided you're ready for it.
