Yes SIR!:D
Fenders, gibsons, anything that has the word vintage attached to it (like amps), pearl and/or maple drums with reinforced shells double ply coated skins and dark/warm muted sounding cymbals, anything that's rather than being clear, is instead dull sounding and muted. Needless to say (though you've gotta mention it on behalf of certain individuals), it's just my opinion:).
