after read this artical i was not realy surprised by it but a bit shocked at the same time.... i thought humanity had gotten past such petty racist things....

whats next?.. articals showing black people complaining that there is not enough black people in the main stream.....

or are we going to start to see articals reporting that cartoons for kids can no longer be showen if they are ones like pokemon, digimon, the list goes on... even ones for the little kids dora, miky mouse, and the rest.
ban them coz there is diferent races getting along showing that it dont matter what you look like and all that,, you know unity...

as we all know the NWO people in power do not like this,,, they like to keep us all devided.

Golliwogs removed from new Noddy book
First book about Noddy in 45 years
Fears the character was "too racist"


NODDY will be without some of his best friends when a new book about his latest adventures in Toyland is released.
Noddy's golliwog mates have been omitted from what will be the first official new book about the little wooden boy for more than 45 years when it is released in late October.
Author Sophie Smallwood, the granddaughter of Noddy's creator Enid Blyton, decided against featuring any golliwog characters for fear the book would be too contentious.
Instead, Noddy and the Farmyard Muddle will follow the wooden elf-like character as he tackles mysterious events at the Toyland farm after goblins arrive in town.
While the golliwogs won't be able to help Noddy this time, his other friends including Big Ears, Tessie Bear and Mr Plod will.
In Ms Blyton's books, first published between the late 1940s and early 1960s, golliwog Mr Golly was one of Noddy's best friends and helped look after his famous yellow and red car.

i found it to be a " been there done that " kind of thing.... a bit of a laugh... but nothing racist about it i thought.

seems people have forgoten how to have a laugh at themselfs, and others for that matter...
did everyone forget *includeing the hey hey cast* about this skit on Hey Hey its Saterday's Red Faces? from years back, in it was 1 person and he was tied to dummies standing beside him and he would move and they move, this didnt get any way near the amount of attention as what this has....

yes it has gone to far in my opinion,,,,,,,,,next there will be no minority bad guys, all bad guys must be white.

But the real racism is now towards the disabled,,,,,,,,,,i know from personlal experience, if you have a disability that is rare and not dealt with and you choose and display even more capabilitys than the completely able bodied you then get black balled, the why is because you dicount there survival of the fittest theorie.

Golliwogs aren't supposed to look african. They are supposed to look like 'blackface minstrels' (same costume, same exaggerated feature).

These minstrels were white guys who 'blacked up' and performed music and comedy skits that completed stereotyped and took the piss out of black people - presenting them as lazy, cowardly, stupid, violent slave people.

We could debate whether the 'toy' itself is a step removed from the offensiveness of minstrels themselves - but, basically, lots of people - myself included - do find the golliwog an offensive image.

I don't agree with censorship - I just wouldn't buy the book - but it annoys that so many people display such a lack of empathy when they say they don't know what the big deal is.

There are clues to be found as to what "golliwogs" and their creator were about. Many things are controlled and released with a specific purpose, and this particular one originated from New York, via the daughter of a wealthy banker, with family links to the usual suspects, at a time when this group was just beginning to mobilise.

Harmless children's litereature it probably was never meant to be, anymore than some of the ideas being pushed on our children today aren't, such as the occult and Satanism.

Their agenda runs very deep, and over decades and centuries using many fronts, including apparently harmless "golliwogs".

The thing is that whether you remove or keep the gollywog you do not remove the racism. It is a non issue. The issue should be the racism that will exist with or without the noddy story.

I don`t think accepting different colour and culture and religion means accepting an agenda. It is clearly made to divide people and keep things going as usual. War with Iraq would be so much harder to sell if your friends are Iraqi. People need to complain about something or some group of people.

Instead of complaining about the government people complain about the immigrants. I just saw a short little documentary on the Link channel out here called All white in Barking. It was about immigration in Barking. It was interesting how people think in various degrees of racism. It seems nobody really thinks that they are racist. They say it is a "preference" but if you prefer white people over black people then I have to question why you prefer some white people over anybody and vice versa.

Preference is just a different word for the same ignorant thinking as far as i can tell.
