Apparently some people are leasing cows and drinking the milk before it has been processed (or as on commenter on AdelaideNow said 'buggerised'.
The SAG are not happy about this practice.

No suprises there ozpixie :)
I know you know all this, but ill rant it out anyway...
They have been 'buggering' milk for a long long time now.
My older forefathers and rellies, living into their 80s and 90s, both the ones still here, and departed, never had a problem.
Straight from the fucking cow, sheep or goat, sometimes the same saucepan that was held underneath the animal, then straight down the chute.
Milk is usually homogenised and pasteurised to get rid of bacteria.
All this BS makes us more suceptable to infections, it weakens our immune system.
It removes the anti carcinogen and anti oxidant properties of real raw milk.
People are waking up on some level, and the SAG is crying out for help.
Some like milk, some dont. But...
Lifes a risk, if people want to drink real milk, not doctored milk, they should be allowed to.
These fools hide behind the 'we are doing it for your own safety' bullshit, and they actually believe EVERYONE will fall for it.
Rann, your cranium and brain is not bigger than everyone elses, not everyone.
If these people gave a shit about human life, not just collecting usury from worker bees, they wouldnt all support slaughter and genocide, like the SA government does, building lockheed martin parts, and sending Rann over there to discuss building killing machines. Put that on your Lockheed martin twitter comment you twat.

Rant away friend. When I was little, Mum and Dad had a dairy farm in the hills. We lived on raw milk, cream, Mum made butter and cottage cheese. We never got sick from it. Hell can you imagine that we even ate eggs from chooks and pork from pigs that were not battery raised LOL!

I wish I could FIND a source of raw cow's milk. I did have a student who's parents raised goats and bartered out some of her lessons for goat's milk and eggs from their chickens but when they didn't have the money to continue (even with me buying those products) they couldn't keep it going. They began to need everything for their family.
Pasteurization and homogenization were developed to keep milk from clabbering and souring during transportation (remember what grade school classes taught you about sour milk and the churn?). If fresh milk turned to buttermilk and sour whey before it made it to the store, that was a pure loss to the middle man making the transport. However, providing proper cooling methods that would prevent bacteria from growing and starting the clabbering process is expensive. <poof> Enact a law that says all milk must be cooked and made "safe from bacteria" for "public safety" and make all the dairies comply. It's always about the money.
Thank goodness we have a fairly local dairy chain that has a store outlet here and in neighboring areas. We can buy most all dairy products (and some regular groceries) in their stores that is free of radiation and more like the old time product than the "blue water" you get in WalMart. Still, they can't sell it if it isn't "cooked" according to the rules so, we are losing out on some of the nurtrients.
For those of you worrying about all the fat in whole milk and butter, cheese etc. skim milk isn't worth the money you pay for it (hardly anything left in it that is nutritious and it tastes terrible). Margarine has just as much fat in it as butter, doesn't work as well in recipes (there IS a difference) and tastes like vegetable shortening, usually SOY for those of you with allergies, seasoned w/ salt and colored yellow (hmmmm, that's what it IS!). Cottage cheese is one healthy way of get some dairy product in you without too much of the fat however, have you noticed how the non-fat or low-fat or "light" cottage cheese is so greasy? Wonder what additive causes that? The real thing isn't normally THAT greasy. Cheese has benefits, depending on the type, giving you some amino acids and some necessary fats for your skin and hair. Without some fat in your diet you won't have the oils you need in your body to lubricate your joints, keep your hair shiny, your skin supple, and your digestive system in good working order.
I think it is more prudent to eat healthy and hearty from the REAL and WHOLE foods provided on this Earth and then, work hard, play hard and exercise for fun. That will work off the calories. To starve your body of the nutrients it needs, take pills instead and wear it out from exercise that doesn't have a diet to sustain it, is foolish.
But then what do I know, I happen to think that a person looks good when they have some extra meat on their bones. Muscle being denser than fat, all that exercise is gonna make you weigh a little more on the scale and a little layer of "storage" can keep you from dying if you catch a nasty bug that drags you down for a month or so. :p

When we lived in the country and had a jerseys cow. I would milk her every morning after the calf had his fill. I'd fill up the bucket, bring it inside and drink it straight from the bucket. This went on for 3 years. Never had a problem and it tasted delicious. Not like the slimy shit you get out of the carton.
(rant)
Peep's waffle on about "oh only calves should drink the milk" Well, fuck you. The stuff is good, full of vitamins.
