Yep I think you are right, the fuckers have no right or idea....
I am in Narrogin in WA (wheatbelt country) and the shire next door,Williams has pronounced itself GM free. Labor was GM free but the Liberals have opened the doors to these peices of shit GM promoters.
At the end of this month, prof Bob Carter is coming here to talk about the Carbon trading scheme and what it means to us, and as a good "AGW denier", I want his take on GM.
I have read enough to know its bullshit.....
""I don't see how anyone can mount a moral argument against genetically modified food when we're facing these sorts of projections on global hunger"
GM doesnt produce as much crop per hectare and increases herbicide use. If we were not using grain for ethanol, we would have a glut of food.

So can i ask if its been a good rain season where you are.
The crops are looking very good here in South Australia, north and east and south east of Adelaide. The rest of the state i havent gone and looked.
Same problem east of Adelaide, SA is GM free atm, but vic isnt, so cross contamination is imminent, probably by design i suspect sometimes, the state borders are but a line in the drift sand.

There are those who are willing, but the governments only want them to exist as slaves.
They manipulate the commodity markets, the fuel prices, fertiliser, the machinery is ridiculously expensive, and above all that i suspect they are screwing with the weather, and they are definately screwing with water courses, rivers and storages across the globe.
People dont want to live in the middle of nowhere to be Monsanto's slaves. Food producers, and potential food producers, are smarter than that.
Producing food, especially in todays situations, its not the easiest game in the world, experience + some skill and talent is required, there are plenty of sacrifices, so some fair renumeration is to be expected for this, a fair go as they say here.
But what the people in charge are trying to do, well more and more people dont want to be a part of it, easier to go to the city and work for the man.

I overheard this c*nt at work bragging and laughing about how some GM protesters didn't notice a massive load of GM shit that got into the country.
He was retrenched a few months later. (not for that incident but because he was a knob in general)
Just had to share that : )
And also - now they teach horticulture in schools. need I say more.

Yeah, it hasnt been bad at all, very wet September and as long as we dont get a wet November things are looking ok. Last year, about this time, a couple of Canadian farmers came over to give a talk ( I found out too late) about the GM business in Canola (shit loads of it grown here but non GM) about the ruse of GM and its consequences. I always thought farmers were dumb rednecks, but I have been proven so wrong.

Aussies told they must embrace GM foods
By Crystal Ja
AAP
October 16, 2009
AUSTRALIANS have been told they will need to embrace genetically modified foods as the world faces an uphill struggle to feed its growing population.
On World Food Day, the Federal Government warned the world will have to produce 70 per cent more food by the year 2050, with the population expected to boom to 9.1 billion.
The days of people rejecting biotechnology and genetically modified food production were numbered, Agriculture Minister Tony Burke said.
"On the face of it, it's an impossible equation - the only way we can meet what the world will demand is by following every possible path of scientific research," he said.
"I don't see how anyone can mount a moral argument against genetically modified food when we're facing these sorts of projections on global hunger."
The warning comes as the country's big food companies said they were meeting the challenges of climate change and impending food shortages.

There are many worrying chain of events taking place very quickly right under our noses, these bills cannot afford to get past the first stage, if they are allowed to bare fruit it could be just like the age before mechanisation, where drought upon drought cut back the population up to 50%, but next time it might not be water or weather that fails, it could be the seeds, and each crop that bears no pollen its also curtains for the insects which reley upon the crops,
As we get into 2030 the oil is thought to be getting pretty low, which means the 70 % extra they say we need to grow will not be possible because the lack of land put to bio fuels and lack of fertilisers from gas and oil for tractors wil not be available, so the crops will go the other way, down.
I have been doing research into why large tracts of land are being bought up all over the states, but I cannot find out who is buying it, there is a report that is saying they expect the populations of the big cities might need to move back to the countryside, in order of setting up small cooperatives where they can grow their own food, if the land is not available because of the buy out's, very similar to the dust bowl era where the people who never starved out abandoned their land, there will be nowhere for these people to go to or buy as a collection of people, its as if they are blocking all the routes, like they did in Catrina, forcing the people to stay put.
I have also found out that the Amish are also growing GM crops, its just never ending the amount of sticky fingers the government are feeling around with,
I think something is definately going down, also the land that those FEMA camps are on, is thought to have been bought by the government so as not to involve any landlords and prying eyes.

On a practical level, our Council has decreed that we are not to put any substance in the drains that contain GM products. It is impossible to avoid bits of food and oil despite our best efforts. I wonder if the two levels of Government will discuss this inconvenient matter or if we will be left again as the piggy in the middle.

Ok vera i was going to say some of this in the other thread, but since you brought it here, here goes....
Oh BOY!
TALK ABOUT "COMPANY SPEAK"!!!!
Now I KNOW, In My Experienced, and Deeply Considered opinion,
that you ARE a "tricky little TOOL of 'Them' "...
So, WHEN are folk going to REALise that "we" can NOT STOP "Them"
INFECTING THIS GLOBE WITH EVILS, and that THAT IS WHY WE NEED
to KNOW, The Only Thing that CAN SAVE US...The Holy Spirit of TRUTH!
Vera, you are wrong here, i am not one of them. You can continue to insult me, but i didnt go into your thread with the intention to troll, for the sake of trolling and disrupting.
I went in there, only to understand where you are coming from and what you are attempting to say, what your beliefs are.
That is why i pushed you yesterday, to get a response. I now know you are a big girl and you can handle it :p
After all, it was you who said this...
Well, here it is folks,
The GOOD NEWS Behind, "The NEWS Behind The NEWS".
And first up: PLEASE, add, counter, challenge away,
but NOT with Worldly/CATHOLIC FUNDED/COMMISSIONED
Lies, Myths and Fantasy, presented as if 'fact'...unless you want
a verbal slashing :p;)!
Challenge is what i did. Not to troll, to try and figure out what it is that you believe, what it is that you are trying to say in that thread.
I think deep down you know im not a troll, ;) not one of them, and that some of the lies we try to expose overlap, i think deep down you know, because otherwise the 'verbal slashings' you give me would be worse, i know you are capable :p
And you know what, i think i finally understand what you are trying to say in that thread, what your beliefs are, and why you post the things you post.
Its just that you need to understand vera, that the way you convey your message, well to be frank, not everyone can understand, so when you are questioned, its not always 'them' out to discredit you.
Some of us are concerned, that YOU are a troll, spamming the boards with what appear to be incoherent postings. So we question.
So thats why i pushed you, to get honest responses, and to get you to convey what it is that you believe to be happening, when you post in that thread, the things you post.
I knew that when i wanted to go down this rabbit hole, i expected to get a bit dirty, so be it, but to see whats at the bottom its worth it.
And after all of that, now, no, i dont think you are a troll, you are just stating what you believe is happening, that they are 'SAVING' OZ, like keeping the sofa covered in plastic, so they can come back and have it.
Keeping it for later.
So in the meantime, they lie about what it is capable of, this land of OZ, so they can have it for themselves.
That is what you believe right?
And all those other posts in between, is what you believe to be messages, code proof, and so on, to back up your claim. Little hints about Oz, australia and so on.
Fair enough, you are entitled to believe what you believe, and i can see some coherency now behind your particular, how do i say it, 'style' , of conveying the message that you believe in.
I can see that you even try to expose some of the same lies i try to expose.
so PLEASE, DON'T YOU DARE TELL ME where I do and don't want to LIVE,
ESPECIALLY when WE KNOW that what makes SOMEWHERE, 'the middle of
nowhere', IS The DELIBERATE WITHHOLDING of INFRASTRUCTURE and
Commodity Supply.

I agree with this. It is a deliberate withholding. But because of this withholding, it is what it is., at least right now in the present, so i stand by what i said. I know it can be more, just like you know. You have seen my posts about digging, deep down inside you know, im not your enemy vera susa...
http://www.davidicke.com/forum/showthread.php?p=1019816#post1019816
I am not part of the ones withholding. I, and many others, suffer because of this withholding.
I can now see that some of the lies i try to expose, are the same as the ones you try to expose, in your own way.
peace to you vera.

it all falls down to the "city slickers" the people in power and of the majority saying that we "NEED" GM foods..... this is coz they are to fricken lazy to do anything about city devolepment not leaving room for city farms.
not only would city farms cut down on food shortages it would cut down the polution..... i do not think it would be to hard to turn a few hi-rise carparks into green houses.
but that would make sense and incourge interaction with people outside a work inviroment....... keep em as slaves and have them think you can only grow food out in the "country".
it is not like this is just city's... i have noticed over the years even "little towns" have fallen into this thinking.........
