Israel's increasingly troubled relations with its main ally in the Muslim world took a turn yesterday when it formally protested to Turkey over the "incitement" generated by a television series featuring fictional scenes of barbaric acts by Israeli soldiers.

This latest argument between Israel & Turkey was all over the news last night.

The excerpt that was shown was of a mother with babe in arms shouting enough enough to the soldiers. Another scene with a young girl watching a soldier and him watching her, then he raises his gun and you hear it fire.

For turkish news 'Todays Zaman' on line is quite a good news paper.

heres one israeli who's putting the ball in obama's court . . . . . .

In the eyes of Israel's enemies, the election of Barack Obama has turned what was considered the unwavering American support of Israel into something that is not taken for granted any more. And when the nuclear-producing Ahmedinejad calls the Holocaust a lie, it is clear whom he is threatening.

The "Obama effect" is encouraging Iran. Dialogue? Go for it. The Iranians are known for their salesmanship - when someone asks the owner of a carpet store the time, he will end up buying three rugs before getting an answer.

Robert Fisk (a journalist from "The Independent") has done an insightful 3 part series of documentaries on the Discovery Channel called "Beirut To Bosnia". These documentaries show some shocking behavior of the Israeli troops (and Israeli's in general). If anything, the Turkish program is understating the issue. It is good to find some who are willing to expose this Israeli brand of non-sense.
