In the movie Wag the Dog (1997) a war was manufactured to hide a sex scandal involving the president.

In the real world 1998, did the opposite happen? Was a sex scandal involving the president (Bill Clinton) manufactured to hide a war?

"In August when Kenth Starr report of Lewinsky affair was being
presented in the House judiciary committee the US attacked
Afghanistan and Sudan and now when the impeachment motion has come
up the US attacked Iraq", Senator Iqbal Haider of PPP said."

Who seriously believes that the U.S. government would allow mainstream media to report a sex scandal involving the president if that was an actual event, and not a staged propaganda event purposely designed to become a huge media story?

Actually yes, I did think of that. At the time everyone was sooo caught up in the 'scandal', I asked what is going on that they are trying to divert attention from? Sure enough...........

I thought Billy maybe had stepped out of line somewhere and was being sacrificed (for the good of the agenda, of course :)).

At the time I had read a lot of stuff on Clinton and thought it laughable that people were so outraged about a little play in the office..That would be the least of his crimes.

What else happened in 1998?

"1998 May 11, A French mint produced the first coins of Europe's single currency, the euro."

Was the Monica Lewinsky wag-the-dog scenario a planned message from the U.S. government in effect saying: "Don't you dare try to make the euro take over the dollar as the world's petro currency!"

The message went something like this:

"1998 Dec 18, US House Republicans rebuffed calls for a vote on censure and pushed forward the vote on impeachment against Pres. Clinton.

1998 Dec 18, US and British struck Iraq for a 3rd day with little resistance. The US B-1 bomber was used to drop bombs. Gen’l. Henry Shelton, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, said more cruise missiles were launched in the first 2 days than the 289 in the 1991 Gulf War."

I wonder.

Anyone with two braincells on active duty can figure out that it is not money that governments are concerned about. Both the European Central Bank and the Federal Reserve can essentially pump out as much money they want as we have seen in the last month. The world runs on oil. For example, in today's mechanized world, it takes 10 calories of oil to produce 1 calorie of food. While governments can pump out money out of thin air, they have more difficulty pumping out oil out of thin air.

I am not quite sure how this 10 calories of oil to 1 calorie of food statistic is calculated but I am not a believer in governments making money out of thin air on an order to need basis. This has been tried in the past with other countries and it causes economic collapse because money becomes totally worthless. It's not possible to print money out from thin air and have it keep any kind of value.

The 10 calories of oil to 1 calorie of food was mentioned in a video, I don't remember which.

You are absolute correct. The money created is pinned to the oil. And what we see now is a tug of war between the European Central Bank and the Federal Reserve in an effort to try to hold on to that slippery oil rope.

What the EU doesn't know is that the U.S. government has done a lot of research in plasma technology. Especially using plasma to splice oxygen and hydrogen in water. Only a tiny amount of electricity is needed to very efficiently turn water into high-powered fuel.

This water fuel technology can easily replace all the oil in the world as an energy source. The problem is that the U.S. dollar is today totally interdependent on oil, and so a too early introduction of the water fuel would bring down the entire U.S. economy.

The plan is to have Ron Paul changing the U.S. dollar to no longer be dependent on oil. Only after that has been done can the new water fuel technology be introduced on the open market.

Yep... it always comes down to their need to protect the money system which is used for control. They do everything to 'retain' control. Now if Dollars were called 'Hours'...
